Nursing Students General Students

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

Specializes in PACU.

welcome marios girl.

I start my bio class tommorrow. Fourth time I take a BIO class. Damn non-transferable courses. If I dont get an A, I'm killing the teacher :)

i know the feeling of i took general bio, a&p 1@2, taking micro now, and i took chem but guess what? my science gpa is 2.71 and i need a 2.75 for my program so it looks like i will have one additional semeser of science:(

Hello to everyone,

I am fairly new to this site, and I love it. I am finishing the last of my pre-req's this semester: Micro, Devel. Psy, and Cult Ant. I am currently going for the Associate's RN, but will go right into the BSN online when I am finished. Also, I am married with 3 children, ages 11, 8 and 3. Whew! I work full-time nights as an Ob-tech/surg tech. It works out, I am used to it by now. All I can say is "it's all about time management people!" SG

Specializes in OB, lactation.

I am already in my BSN program (second semester) but I'm part-time so I will probably graduate in 2006.

I have three boys: 22mos, 4yrs, and 6yrs.

Hey I am from Colorado Springs where in CO you from? what school are you going to?

I am hoping to get into the program at my CC this fall but if not next fall.

I am in the Denver area, and the school I will go to this fall is CCD. Are waitlists just as bad down in the Springs?

Cant wait to hopefully get accepted and get the hell out of my current job

just got some crappy news :( . i was told last year from the nursing counselor that i would start for sure next fall, (you know, actual nursing school). i have 23 pts, and was told that would get me in.

now i am told that the lowest accepted this semester was 24 ! . so, i guess, now there is no sure thing. there are too many straight a students applying (dang those over-acheivers!), and sadly, i got some c's.

sooooooooooo, i don't know when i'll start now. i can only hope that a lot more mediocre or down right dumb students apply!:chuckle

i can do nothing but w a i t ! i'm all done with pre-req's. i'm taking pharm and math med just to help me once i'm in. though now i wonder if i should hold off? anyone else in my boat? heather

Sorry to hear that Dublin, what a bummer! :o

Is there another school in your area that you could apply to as well?

I'm starting to get nervous waiting on acceptance letters here. Turns out they're going to be mailed later than expected, somewhere around mid-March. I want to know now! *whine* :D

Luckily I have received my first acceptance letter this week to solidify status in "Class of 2006"!

Cheers!
