for those of us who just got accepted to nursing school and have to wait 2 freaking years to start ...check in here!!
personally, i will have things to do next year though. i have to go through the nursing asst. program first (spring '07). then, we're allowed to take pharmacology and dosage calculations one semester before we start actual nursing school.
of course, there's all those immunizations to look forward to also!

Heh! Me too.... I'll be starting the last week of June, with graduation two years from now. I feel like I've learned just loads and loads with my pre-req's, but those were only the start.....
I'm spending my summer studying and working on our little farm and looking forward to starting nursing school with great anticipation and excitement!

Hi Hi, I start nursing school August 18th and at first I was excited until I realized all the demands of the program. Don't get me wrong, I knew about it beforehand but when you it's actually are about to start in a few months, that is when I began freaking out orver how I will survive with my family and such a demanding program. Also I just found out I am pregant again so when 1st semester begins I will be in my second trimester getting bigger and bigger til I pop hopefully after finals and during Christmas break. (At least that's what I'm praying for. Wish me luck...) I hope to graduate May 0f 2010 but baby and my health will determine if I defer a semester or not. Otherwise congrats to all those in the program and best wishes to everyone on becoming a nurse. Go class of 2010....
Congrats Jul2bRN! A baby is always exciting and I wish you good luck in everything.
Next week I have my finals in pharm and patient assessment and then in Aug I start NP1. I am excited and apprehensive at the same time. Luckily I have the same pharm instructor in NP1 and she is very good, plus we got an idea on her style of testing. Still, we all have a long road ahead but I'm sure we can all do it.
Good luck and best wishes to all of you!
Hello to everyone! I can't believe I missed this post...I also start NS in Aug 08 with plans to graduate in 2010. Though I just heard that my school also does a 16 month program for RN. I have not had orientation yet but will be finding out about that. If I could do that, I would graduate Dec 09 and before I am 40 so that would be awesome!
I don't have an orientation date yet, either the end of June ( I am hoping) or the end of July. That is when we receive all of our information, as far as our books to buy, immunizations, etc. I am going to get a head start on the CPR but other than that I will have to wait to get more information.
Good luck to all of you!
WOOHOO, CONGRATULATIONS TO US!
I start August 27 (Temple College), the day my husband's 12 day vacation begins.....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I'm so excited, I know I want to press the FF button...but I also know come September/October, I'm going to want to press the REW button to now when I have nothing going on!
