Biggest fear: Attending campus classes - I have done online for about two years and am scared to death to go to campus! Also, I work full time, have two very young children, and just took on the position of volunteer childbirth educator (no income) for our county - so scheduling is freaking me out! My classes will be Tues & Thurs evenings from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. and clinicals on weekends! Yikes!!!
What you'd like us to know about you: I live in rural Colorado and am going to make a lot of sacrifices to make this work (like sleep - lol), but I am determined, hard working, and extremely motivated! I have wanted to work in the medical field since my first memories (one of my first toys was a toy stethoscope) and I feel like I am finally getting close to my dream. Good luck to all of us - this is such an exciting time in our lives! :)

Great idea Heather!
School: university of texas medical branch - galveston
Program: BSN
What area of interest at this time: NICU & Mother/Baby
Biggest fear: That despite determination and religiously studying I just won’t be smart enough, and I’ll have the University questioning why they ever accepted me in the first place.
What you'd like us to know about you: I’m an adoptive mommy to two adorable cats and have been dating their adoptive daddy for about 3 years. Oh and I'm vegetarian.

what area of interest at this time: i'll figure it out once clinicals start. but seriously considering becoming a crna if the next 2 years dont completely burn me out.
biggest fear: everything- but mostly juggling working f/t, studying, classes, and trying to get good grades in the process. passing out in the or, or vommitting from some of the 'smells'.
what you'd like us to know about you: i never thought i'd want to be a nurse. hospitals used to really freak me out, but with everything my family has gone through in the past few years, it made me realize that this is an opportunity to help people in ways that no other profession offers.

Biggest fear: My biggest fear is failing out. I guess I am really just scared of starting this new journey.
What you'd like us to know about you: I am a mom of 3 teenage boys and of 2 girls. This is the moment that I have been waiting for for a long time. Finally getting into nursing!!!! After hurricane Katrina hit here I just knew it would be another year before I got into the program, but the school had us back into school with in a month. I am so glad I made that sacrifice and kept going even after we lost everything we owned. I guess I am just very determined that I am not going to let anything stop me from my dream. Good luck to everyone!!!!!!:smiley_aa
