what you'd like us to know about you: i love to scrapbook. in fact, i made a small scrapbook about my journey to get into nursing school. i have 2 cute kids, and a hunky husband. :)
what area of interest at this time: i am not sure yet i think i would like them all.
biggest fear: failure
what you'd like us to know about you: i am a single 38 year old mom of two girls 15 and 11. i am also a home care provider for the past 15 years caring for developmentaly disabled adults living with me. i am scared as heck that i will not be able to do this. i do have alot of support though. last fall my mom started coming and staying during the week to help out while i started back to school. then she leaves and works the weekend shift. i can not thank her enough for helping me out so much.

what area of interest at this time: oncology and end of life care.
biggest fears: not enough money while in nursing school, not enough stamina, and failing the nclex.
what you'd like us to know about you: second degree student, 40+ embarking on a new career direction. if the adn goes well, i will transition to advanced degree in nursing. i'm taking it one step at a time.

what you'd like us to know about you: formerly a sergeant in usmc, b.s. in criminal justice, but i decided i would be happier trying to help people rather than kill/arrest them.

what you'd like us to know about you: im really excited and glad that i got in and now im just waiting to start in august. im really nervous and anxious. good luck to everyone , hope to keep in touch.

school: regis univ. denver - evening program for working adults who already have degrees in other areas

what area of interest at this time: emergency or ob/l&d
biggest fear: how big my butt will look in those scrubs! :roll
probably that i'll revert to being an active perfectionist and control freak vs. a "recovering" one and that i'll drive myself crazy... either that or my peri-menopausal "lag time" in remembering things will decide to hit full force at the worst possible moment.
what you'd like us to know about you: i'm spirited, opinionated, compassionate, love to laugh (including at my own foibles), and curious. i love learning new things and having new experiences.
What area of interest at this time: ER or ICU or trauma, I want to be where the action is I guess and be able to see something different all the time. Plan to go back to school later on for NP or PA.
Biggest fear: Failure; being an incompetent RN; family and schoolwork balance; being super tired all the time...lol
What you'd like us to know about you: I didn't grow up dreaming about being a nurse, it wasn't until my parents health problems that I saw what RNs do and became fascinated and knew it was for me, I've *always* been interested in the medical field and the human body and science though my whole life. I'm very open minded and fairly liberal. I read a lot. I homeschool my 2 girls. I LOVE the tv show LOST!

What you'd like us to know about you: I always thought that being a Nurse was so out of my league... I was wrong! I'm loving it so far and I can wait until I am an RN!
