Class of 2013 anyone?

Are you graduating in May or June, 2013? We have 7-8 more months to go! I would love to get a thread going to see how many of us are 'here' and see if we can keep each other encouraged till we see the finish line! We are almost there!

December 2013 with my BSN.... can't come soon enough!!

Who is thinking about jobs? When will you apply?

Graduating in May, and I've been told to start looking/applying Jan-March. We have a career fair in January too which hospitals come to so that will be great also.

Where I live, in SouthEast NC, we can apply for jobs about a couple months before we graduate, at least for all of the local hospitals, because they all have one big new grad orientation at their particular facilities. So usually, at our school, we have nurse recruiters from major hospitals across the state come and talk with us in Feb or March, then after that we start Applying for jobs.

How was everyone's semester.. Mine was hard as heck, but I passed with an A. Now its on to the last semester :)!

OMG... our semester was horrendous. Community Health and Home/Hospice health... these 2 classes should have been combined but instead, we had to to weekly assignments for each and paper, health teaching, research, etc for both courses. It was pure terror...but I made it!! I'm so glad it's OVER!! We have a 3 week break then off to Complex Care & Leadership something rather online. Then we have a preceptorship & Capstone starting in March. Does anyone else having to do the Capstone? Not looking forward to this.

Congratulations to all of you who made it through thus far! End is near... we just have to keep on keeping on for 4-5 months! Our cohort graduate on May 2nd!! Yay!!

We have a capstone starting in January. We oalso have home/elder care something or another course and then our preceptorship. Enjoying break before all this begins :) LAst semester was HELL..

I am most definitely counting down the days until graduation in 2013! The last day of classes is May 10th and graduation is set for May 17th. You better believe I will be walking and celebrating like nobody's business! :-)

I can say that next semester is a little scary, as it is our Complex Med-Surg component so it's a bit intimidating. I'm up for a challenge though and ready to take it on.

For the most part, I will be applying Feb-March, but a relative is a nurse at a hospital I would LOVE to work at(albeit on a different floor) and told me to go ahead and apply in Jan if I see a position and that she will put in a word to the nurse manager..so Im hopeful! Ill be touring the hospital tomorrow with my class, so that's exciting.

Have you all done resumes? I have finished mine aside from a few tweaks that I will finish over Christmas break(which starts Friday!) as we have a career day in January where we will have a lot of hospitals.

Just finished 3rd semester TODAY! Final exam study, study, study, passed! Yeaaa! One more semester to go. Graduation May 10 2013!

This semester started with 140 students we lost 27 up to and including the final. I just wished i would have done this sooner, much sooner. I'll be just short of turning 57 when I graduate. LPN-RN bridge is the route I've taken. It can be done.
