Are you graduating in May or June, 2013? We have 7-8 more months to go! I would love to get a thread going to see how many of us are 'here' and see if we can keep each other encouraged till we see the finish line! We are almost there!
I think i look at my countdown app everyday on my phone so i can remind myself that graduation is VERY near! I had ICU this past semester, which was by far my most favorite clinical experience. The class itself, I HATED with every fiber of my being... It was the toughest class of my program, but I learned so much. I took community health over the summer so I wouldn't have to take it with ICU, turns out that was a VERY good choice. We start back up jan 7 and I have some pretty basic courses, which is a great relief after ICU. Taking a gerontology course, perspectives (area hospitals come and talk to us and we get interview tips...), and my management course and practicum which is our preceptorship. May 16 I will be receiving my BSN!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! These past three years have been the most trying I have ever experienced but would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
I am so glad we are on break! Im loving pediatrics so far and we finish peds in February and then start Critical Care/preceptorship, so Im very nervous for that!
I have to say that I am going to miss it, I've formed a bond with teachers and some of the students and will miss seeing them all the time.

Me too, but you know what, I fully believe if it had been done earlier, I wouldn't be as good a potential nurse....Im almost 29 and although not old by any means, my life experience with having 4 kids, plus my experience working for child protection has given me tons of experience to use in nursing school and as an RN. Im ready!! Our grad date is May 18 I think.
