Hi everyone,
Just started a thread for those who applied to the City of Hope New GRAD App that opened up in April and is for the August 2020 cohort. I submitted my application but never even go a receiving confirmation email. Anyone else have that problem?

Is your recruiter -------------------?

I’m wondering if they are just overloaded...has your application been updated at all? I checked again today, mine still just says completed. Usually they will update it to “no longer in consideration” and then the withdraw link will be gone if we were not selected. Try not to get too discouraged! I don’t think any us are officially out of the running yet! I’m still hopeful. Alrighty, thanks for responding! I’ll continue to update here.
Thanks I just checked and it says "completed" updated 4/12....I'll keep waiting maybe there is just too many applicants
Has anyone received any updates this week? I received a questionnaire and emailed it back a few days ago, and haven't heard from the recruiter since- just wondering if anyone has any recommendations about whether I should wait to hear back, or follow up with the recruiter? Waiting is always tough! ?
Hi nope nothing here either. I completed that questionnaire awhile back. She responded, asking when I was available for a phone screen this week. I emailed back with my availabilities (this was last week)and never heard back after that and it’s now Thursday so I guess I’m not having a phone screen this week LOL I have since emailed her again to follow up (this was Wed) and still haven’t gotten a response back so I’m not really sure what to think at this point. I’m hoping they’re just overwhelmed with candidates and it will just take some time but who really knows. My application status doesn’t give any indication either. Still just says completed, as it has for the last few weeks.
I know someone in this thread awhile back had a successful phone screen and was to have a Skype interview this week...IDK if they had it/how it went. I’m curious though! Hopefully they will update here.
Thank you for your response @Leenie831! Yes I wonder if it just takes some time since they have so many applications to sort through, but it's definitely tough to wait in limbo ? I do appreciate everyone keeping each other updated on here! I would also love to hear if anyone has had a phone/Skype interview, and how it goes.
Hope everyone's doing well as we wait!

Hi, I am on the same boat, yesterday was exactly a week that I sent her back my answers. I have made multiple attempts to reach her over the phone and no answer, I have sent her 2 emails and no response, so I think I will stop and just continue to wait LOL

She told me that apparently there are 600 applicants, but I'm not quite sure how many they're interviewing. She did verify and ask which units were my priority and mine is the peds hem-onc (they're hiring for 2 people on this unit). I will be interviewing with the unit managers next week via Skype ? It was about 40 minutes long and some questions were name a situation in which you didn't get along with someone you worked with and how you handled it, your weakness, why COH, explain about my favorite clinical rotation experience and why, and what nursing means to you.
hi there! I'm also interested in peds heme-onc; wondering if you did your practicum in this or what sort of experience you bring? I didn't do a peds onc or oncology practicum ?

Thank you for your reply @nursespongebob! That's helpful to know, and I hope you hear back soon! I think I will try reaching out soon as well and will definitely update if I hear anything.

She finally replied to me today around 2PM asking if I can do the phone screening tomorrow. I feel like she’s going through tons of emails right now so I wouldn’t lose hope! It took her 5 days to reply to me so.. I would still give a few weeks!
