City of Hope New Grad 2020

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi everyone,

Just started a thread for those who applied to the City of Hope New GRAD App that opened up in April and is for the August 2020 cohort. I submitted my application but never even go a receiving confirmation email. Anyone else have that problem?

Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows if you have to have no RN experience for this program? Or is it less than 6 months or something like some hospitals? I don't see any information on this on their website

When I spoke to one of the recruiters (Keila) she said If you have experience of any kind as an RN/for however long you are no longer eligible. I specifically asked her because I didn’t make it into this cohort. She encouraged me to apply again at the next application period so I asked her if I worked elsewhere as an RN in meantime if I would still be eligible and she said no.

Hello everyone! Does anyone know when the next cohort application will be posted?? Thank you in advance!

I got the job (for Peds Hem-Onc)!? It took a little longer than expected to hear back, a little over a week (I just got the call on Wednesday). I'm so excited to join the team and can't wait to hear back on who else is joining City of Hope. I believe there is still one other person that's going to be hired for peds hem-onc too.

Congratulations on getting the job! I am an aspiring Peds Hem-Onc nurse myself and am hoping to join the City of Hope family next cohort. Do you have any insight as to when the January/April 2021 residency applications will open? Thanks so much ? !

Hi! Quick question, when you guys went under current listings within the Job Search was the new grad application titled "New Grad Residency Program" or something along those lines or did you guys just apply for jobs that said "Clinical Nurse I" and so on? I was told that the new grad application for the March 2021 Cohort would open in December but it is now the 11th and last week I reached out to the nurse recruiter asking if there had been a change or if I just wasn't viewing the application correctly within the current listings and I haven't received a response back. I know on their website it shows that they had an April Cohort a few years back so I'm wondering if maybe there isn't a March Cohort but an April one in which the application opens up in January. Also congrats to anyone who has gotten the job!
