City of Hope New Grad 2020

Hi everyone,

Just started a thread for those who applied to the City of Hope New GRAD App that opened up in April and is for the August 2020 cohort. I submitted my application but never even go a receiving confirmation email. Anyone else have that problem?

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to update you guys that I had my phone interview on Tuesday; I don't think it went well because she did not offer me a second interview via Skype. ? However, she did tell me they're doing phone interviews until end of May! So don't lose hope! She said there are overwhelming #s of applicants so it's taking awhile to get back to everyone. Good luck everyone! Wish the best of luck to you all! ?

@nurseBSN1029 Thank you for the update! It’s reassuring to know that maybe they are just overloaded with candidates right now. Hopefully we will all hear something soon. I wouldn’t give up hope either even though u weren’t immediately scheduled for another interview, we really don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes ya know. There’s plenty of time considering it doesn’t start till August - so ya never know! A lot can happen from now till then.

@vchn Would you be willing to share how your Skype interview went last week? Would love to hear about it. TIA!

Do you need to have a BSN prior to applying to this new grad program? Graduating in a month with ADN here and hoping to bridge into BSN after, looking at City of Hope in the future.

yes you need a BSN before the residency starts.

Hi guys, just thought I would give an update. I finally got a response and have a phone screen set up for tomorrow.

Hi that’s great news!! If u don’t mind me asking how long did u have to wait to hear back? Did u sent the prescreen questions?

Hi, it’ll be three weeks this week since I answered all the prescreen questions. I emailed her a couple times since to follow up and she finally responded today. So def follow up. I think the recruiters may just be overwhelmed with applicants so don’t get lost in the sea of emails that I’m sure they are getting!

I see I sent her my answers back on 4/28 ?? last email I sent her to ask for an update was last week ? I’ll keep waiting ?thx for the update good luck Tomorrow!
