City of Hope New Grad 2020
I got the job (for Peds Hem-Onc)!? It took a little longer than expected to hear back, a little over a week (I just got the call on Wednesday). I'm so excited to join the team and can't wait to hear back on who else is joining City of Hope. I believe there is still one other person that's going to be hired for peds hem-onc too.

I think it went really well! It was about 30 minutes long and had similar questions to the phone interview, just more specific questions about my resume and why I chose that unit. Thy told me they were still interviewing for the unit until the end of this week and would get back to me at the end of the week.

City of Hope New Grad 2020
Hello everyone! I've been a bit late in giving an update for those asking. So I originally had my phone screen interview on May 1st and was asked my availability for the following week to set up a video interview with the managers for the peds hem-onc. I gave my schedule but didn't hear anything back for a week. I then got an email from Leila asking my availability again for the following two weeks. Another week passed by and another recruiter named Gabriela gave me 5 options of days to choose from for a video interview. I sent out my preferred day and it took another 7 days to get a response (received it today) confirming the set interview. So now I for sure have a video interview with 3 managers from the peds hem-onc set for May 26th. I would definitely recommend in just being patient in them replying to you since it definitely took some time in setting up the second interview.

I just finished my phone screen, and it was with Keila through a phone conversation (not zoom). She told me that apparently there are 600 applicants, but I'm not quite sure how many they're interviewing. She did verify and ask which units were my priority and mine is the peds hem-onc (they're hiring for 2 people on this unit). I will be interviewing with the unit managers next week via Skype :) It was about 40 minutes long and some questions were name a situation in which you didn't get along with someone you worked with and how you handled it, your weakness, why COH, explain about my favorite clinical rotation experience and why, and what nursing means to you.

City of Hope New Grad 2020
Hello everyone! I submitted my application on April 2nd and just received an email on April 28th asking me to submit some questions such as when I am receiving my BSN, why I chose COH, and my top 3 unit choices. Shortly after I did receive an email for a phone screen, so I will be having mine tomorrow ? I'll update on how it goes!

I'm completely in the same boat! I also was in the middle of my Peds hem-Onc preceptorship and applied to the hem-onc unit. I didn't get to complete my hours and am not sure where that puts me. I think that all new grad positions are probably going to be empathetic to our situations though, hopefully.

Yes that is correct! Those aren't included into the prerequisite GPA as you are still allowed to be currently taking those classes so it wouldn't be fair to include it into some applicants' GPA but not others.

CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018
Hey guys! I happened to find this by chance but I'm a BSN nursing student at Cal State LA! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I applied last December and am currently in my first year, second semester. I had a score of 25 and got admitted so you definitely have a good chance if you're 25+! I don't know the specifics of my class but I know some other people also got 24 that were admitted. I remember how nervous I was this time last year, but honestly try not to worry too much! I got my acceptance in the middle of March so you'll probably find out sometime then. Good luck to all of you!
