Hey everyone! Has anyone applied to the City of Hope New Graduate program? I applied a few days ago and will post on here if I hear anything. Best of luck to those that applied!
Please don't tell me this is just a delayed rejection for those of us who haven't gotten an interview schedule yet. Their email for the CIS position made it sound like everyone who got the email were candidates for the temp position. Now it seems like they're choosing who to interview first. What does that make the rest of us? On-call candidates? That doesn't seem fair. Almost wished they had sent me a direct rejection rather than give me false hope. Emailed them a few minutes after receiving the email. Didn't hear back so decided to email them again yesterday morning. I got a response within 10 minutes, which asked me for my availability, if I have my CA RN license, if I have experience with AllScripts/Eclipse Sunrise Suite, and If I'm available to start by September 23rd. I responded within minutes then nada. Was that my "screening phone call?" And she said they would like to schedule the interviews this week. So...*****
I apologize for sounding so upset. Waiting to interview for the temp position seems to be stressing me out more than the actual new grad position.

I totally feel you here! I'm glad I didn't really get my hopes up for this. I was told in an email that I received at 3pm that they were going to call this afternoon for a 20 min screening and if that went well then they'd bring me in for an in-person interview Friday. I emailed back saying I will be available... And then waited by my dang phone all afternoon. Nothing.
I know things must be hectic for them, but how about some professionalism.. Or SOME organization at the very least.
Thankfully I'm a fairly patient person and can roll with the punches. I would probably go nuts with this CA new grad RN "game" if I weren't.

I love how they said in the original email "come in for an interview in the next two weeks" and then they're telling you they're going to do in-person interviews on Friday, which is in two days.
I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what in the world is going on.
We have to just take it - we both got rejected from UCLA right? I was sad at first but then I realized that there are a lot more people suffering in the world - we got first world problems

I get what you're saying, but dang it! I need an income SOON to pay for the huge debt I accrued in nursing school! Hmmm, is risk for poverty d/t unemployment still a first world problem? lol And I don't want to sound entitled but, yes, some professionalism would be nice. They keep changing their information around! First, it was within the next 2 weeks. Then, all interviews by Friday and decisions on Monday. They seem to be rushing yet lagging at the same time. What the heck is going on?
@db2xs, please let us know what they say. I'd call them, too but they've already received 5 different emails from me. lol.

Will do! :-)
And I don't think you sound "entitled." Common courtesy should be shown all around--not just from our side. I get it that there can be issues in the administration, but I'm getting sick of these establishments treating us like hungry dogs on a leash. It is humiliating.

Is the phone screen interview for the CIS position? Or for the BSN New Grad? I have an in person interview scheduled for tomorrow (for CIS position).
