Very funny. Nurses sometimes use dark humor to help us cope. Students don't realize this now, but they will one day. .

I'm not a student. I've got a Masters and Specialist degree in Mental Health with a speciality in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked with both the clients and their families, inpatient and out.

I just find it insensitive.

Oh my god, I laughed & laughed!!!! Am I evil?! good on you for this! We have sooooo many psych patients in my ED that I just had to let loose. Our new ED psych unit will open next month, but the holidays are upon us & it's a full moon & guess how many psych patients were usurping our beds when I walked into work yesterday? 8!!! & We only had 18 beds we could :trout: use for our regular ED patients & we were also holding border patients! And I was in Triage that day. What a gas!

It's a big board with people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and histories. I think we should respect each and every one of us....those that lighten up and laugh...........and those of us who don't.
