i haven't seen the post for this years christ mas card exchange. i know it is early but christmas will be here before we know it. chris at lucas usually does this and i emailed her in hoping to get this started. i know this should be in the breakroom but a lot of members including myselfare noot premium members and also like to participate. i really love all the cards i get from you guys, my kids love looking at all the different places they come from. any ways hoping to get some interested parties so we can get this started.
i just got in touch with chris and this is what you need to do if you want to participate. i really love this time of year and it really sets you in the mood for the holidays.to reiterate from seasons past.... any allnurses member can participate in the allnurses christmas card mailing list, even if they are not a premium member. just pm or email me (i prefer email, actually) the following information: remember you do not need to send a card to every one on the list, just send what you can afford with postage today.
your allnurses name
your real name (so your postal carrier will know it is you)
your mailing address, including your zip or postal code
your email address so i can send you the list
then, later chris will start sending out the list by email. in the past i have sometimes remembered how to make it set up like labels, so if you are inclined, you can print it off that way. now, this is christmas, so you don't have to send a card to everyone, but it's kind of nice to do that. however, if you can't for some reason but really wish you could, go ahead and join us. with no exceptions that i know of, we'd all rather send you a card at a time that you particularly need one, than have you sitting this year out because you couldn't afford postage or whatever.
and it goes without saying, the information on this and any previous allnurses christmas card list is confidential, and not to be shared with anyone. if they are on the list, they got a copy. if they lost it, they can email me (i know who signs up!). if they aren't on the list, sorry, they don't get access to the info. it is all set up to protect all of us.....
some people only want to send and receive email greetings. i'd like to encourage the email greetings sector to use the allnurses email or pm functions to send those greetings, rather than the actual christmas card list.
so, let the merriment begin! (even if it is a little early..... )
maybe we can make this a stickie like last year, eh, mods?

That gives everyone enough time to get their cards together and not have to worry about new names being added.
Does this sound fair to everyone or should the deadline be later?
I just got an email from christine. She is trying to get the list done been very busy. We will have it to you this week though. We decided to go with a no deadline for members that want to participate in case they did not see the list.
Just a little note to you all, while the beautiful expensive cards are very nice, we all get just as much of a thrill with the "20 for $1" cards at BigLots, The Dollar Store, etc..... makes a difference to the pocket book, and we can send just as much love for a lot less--
