Diahann Carroll as Julia Baker RN
One of the first black professional nurses depicted on TV. Diahann broke the mold as it related to the stereotypes portrayed on TV during the 60's and early 70's. For some African Americans, watching TV was the beginning of dreaming and aspiring to do big things. Thank you nurse Julia, a single mother working outside of the home.....you did the profession of nursing good!
Loved Hawthornes character but just couldn't stomach the show. I know it's fiction, but come on. No nurse anywhere is doing the crap she did, cripes, she single handedly ran that hospital!
Love "Mama" Jesse from Code Black and Kenny from Night Shift. My all time fave still has to be "Hot Lips" Margaret on MASH
