Hi fellow nurses! I am Sherry and I applied to the CHOC fellowship for multi specialty area recently & was just wondering if anyone else has applied for it too?
i graduated in May 2017 so technically I’m not considered a new grad, but I’ve never actually worked in an acute care as a RN, only outpatient. so technically I’m a stale new grad? it’s super difficult to make it in the hospital w/o acute care experience, so I decided to apply to the fellowship!
Im also wondering if Mission has a different timeline. I haven't heard of anyone interviewing for NICU. I have seen that people got interviews for PICU. Im also still "Under Consideration" as well. Still holding onto hope lol.

I reached out to the nurse recruiter I was talking to before the applications opened. Will let you all know if I get any info! ?
I called and spoke to HR, they told me no offers have been made and that they are still working on it. She said hopefully by the end of this week. Fingers crossed!!

I got my unofficial offer from the Medical Unit and they told me the HR will contact me later. But I am not sure if it would be the same for the other units.

Do you know if they’ll let us know by email or phone call? I know that they notify you by email if you didn’t get a job offer, but I was wondering if they also email you if you did get a job offer.

Did the medical unit manager call you about the offer rather than HR calling you?
