Ugh I have less than 2 weeks to get my lpn application in and I need to get a chicken pox titer done or have proof I was vaccinated. I got chicken pox when I was 4 or 5, I think..
I keep calling all these medical places by my house and no one does them???
Should I just get the vaccine even though I've already had chicken pox? Why is it so hard to get a titer done!
I live in Arizona. Any advice/help?

Have you tried a local health department? They usually do them.

If you cannot get your doc to order one and get the results rushed then just get the vaccine and be done with it. If you've already had the disease you should be okay.

This is a vaccine that I refuse for my kids, so I personally wouldn't get the vaccine. My school didn't require titers for chicken pox, so I don't know. I don't understand why you can't find a place to draw some blood. Have you tried your own Dr?

My family doctor's office just drew the blood and sent it to LapCorp for analysis. I though I needed a doctor's order to have it done. Insurance even covered it. I think it only took a few days to come back.

I had to have mine done to volunteer. I got it done at Banner occupational health. It's right by Banner Thunderbird Hospital.

I recently had to have my titers for MMR and Varicella at my doctors office. I never actually had the vaccine for Chicken Pox since I had it when I was four. I was afraid that my titers would be 'too low', but my doctor said they were fine.
There were also local health depts who were willing to do the titers, but I chose to just go to my doctor's office. Good luck!

Have you checked with your school to see who they recommend? My school gave me a referral to LabCorp and I went there and had the blood pulled. The results come back in a few days..
