  1. thank you I am also doing TERROS as they were free. Have you been able to start looking for a job? I've been doing meetings and IOP so it feels really busy and overwhelming. Thank you for replying
  2. Sorry TERROS. Hard to type on a phone. Lol. I'm also trying to wrap my head around all the products with alcohol and the diluted urines. The Program lady said diluted urines are rare but one of the girls today said she had three and they had to do a hair test.
  3. I went to my first nurse meeting today. I didn't have to but wanted to see what was out there. One of the girls mentioned Terros as being low cost. I had called them and they did say it's free to me. I don't know if it will be the best in the world but it's an option.
  4. My HR lady said they would be sending a cobra packet. I'll look into it. Thanks
  5. I will definitely be calling places today. I have to try and find a place that might work with me financially. I will try outpatient places first. I don't know how I'm going to afford this. Our insurance ended at midnight. One day at a time. I want to get better.
  6. Thanks. I went down and spoke to the CANDO lady yesterday. I am trying to find a rehab facility now that might work for me or with me financially. So far the hardest part has been the shame and guilt of telling my family. I so want to get better. I'll do whatever it takes
  7. Thank you
  8. Thank you everyone. I'm in the process of telling my husband and for now it doesn't look good. I hope I can be a nurse again.
  9. So I just got of the phone with a person from CANDO. I have to go meet with her tomorrow. That was really hard and I know there will be some bad days ahead. My question. Can you work in a non nursing job?
  10. I was called into my managers office yesterday for discrepancies in charting narcotics. I live in Arizona and was hoping someone can give me advise on what to expect in the CANDO program
  11. I think the facility is close to acute care. I know I've hung blood, TPN, and had patients on a tele monitor, to mention a few things. I am also going back to get my bachelors degree so hopefully that with a year experience will get me where I want to go. Hang in there I think most everyone from my graduating class got jobs. It just took some time. Good luck
  12. I was licensed in March and started working in April. I interviewed for 3 places and got two job offers. None of which were at hospitals but I'm pretty happy where I am at.
  13. They are also starting the new NAU program in the fall. As it is they have a hard time finding enough classrooms. It should really be interesting now.
  14. I just finished my third semester. I thought it was the easiest of the first three. We did OB, Ped's, and liver, kidney, and pancreas. We also did some nursing role. I do have two children so I think that made applying some of the stuff I already know helpful. You'll do great. I'm scared of my last semester which starts in the fall.
  15. I would really recommend taking a patho class. If you can take Jill Ocano's class take it because she is a block two instructor. I would also take a medical terminology class and while you are on the wait list take all the classes you will need to get your BSN later. Good Luck
