I am a postpartum RN with experience in wound care, RN supervisor and telemetry. I am interested in looking into reserve duty, as I feel that the military is something I should have done. I have my BSN and will eventually go for my master's to obtain my NP. I would enlist, but my husband is not in a position to move with his career. Is it possible to join the reserves as an obstetrics RN? Preferably in the air force. I would not be interested in flight nursing as I get sick on flights.

Does anyone know of a 100% online WHNP program? How are clinical hours performed? If not, how does a Hybrid class work, such as the one offered through ASU? Thank you!

I am currently working in an adult Telemetry unit (days) and have done a lot of thinking about what I want out of life and nursing and truly want to become a school nurse. I am in the process of finishing my bachelors degree and I am working on obtaining the experience necessary to become a school nurse. I have an interview for a postpartum unit (nights), but I am unsure if this is a route that would be worth taking. (I still need 1 1/2 years of acute care experience, I have 6 months on the tele unit I am on and 4 months of experience as a RN weekend supervisor for a Rehab facility) I am wondering if a Pediatric ER would be better suited for my long term goals. I used to work in education as a Teacher's Assistant and had originally intended to become a teacher before changing career choices. I always intended to work with children in a school setting. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thank you

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where a good place to work during school would be? Or would it benifit me more to get a job as a patient care tech at a hospital?

I love my Littman Classic II. You may as well invest in a good one as opposed to the cheaper ones they sell at the scrub shops. You will be using it throughout school and your career. but do get your name on it =]

I am curious if anyone knows what the GCC traditonal program will be scheduled like? MON through FRI? When are clinicals?

well my time stamp is 10/16/09 8:00:22, and I didnt get placed. if they pulled from oct. it must have been the person with one even earlier than mine! good luck to everyone with the october timestamp! i know how anxious ive been waiting to get in! I had a friend who was called 2 weeks before her program start date, so there is deff still a shot

I have a time stamp of 10/16/09 8:00:22, I did not get placed in the first run. Is there anyone in the oct timestamp that did get placed? i am wondering if my chance is good to get placed by someones defferal?
