Who else is taking Chemisrty this semester? I thought maybe we can check in with each other, and help each other out.
If there is enough of us maybe we can even get a sticky.
I am taking Health Science Chemistry 1.
I plan on taking a intoductory to chemistry course next year, and the texbook for the class will be World of chemistry essential by Jorgsen, does anybody know about this book and if it has a study guide website, and has anyone taken intro to chemistry and if so what was it like?
God bless
Thanks for the happy thoughts everyone, they mean a lot!!

I haven't posted since page 2....
Too busy with Chemistry to post this semester :chuckle
I got an A! Not sure what I actually took from the class though. The instructor was awful! Seriously. The students were constantly correcting him because he would write the wrong things on the board. All his ratings on ratemyprofessors.com were bad. He was a nice man, bless his heart, he just didn't know how to convey his knowledge to a classroom setting.
The only reason I made an A is because his grading was a cakewalk. There were 4 test plus the final. We got to use a 4x6 index card with whatever we decided to put on it, for each test. He dropped the lowest test score and you got a whole 20 points added to your grade for showing up to all the labs. He never graded the lab papers, you got full marks for completion. He also gave out "quiz" packages before each test that we could take home to look up to problems and definitions. Just for completing it you would receive a 100%.
I made a 93 in the class and didn't have to take the final. That also includes receiving a 66 on one of the exams and dropping the final which I did not have to take due to having an "A".
I have mixed feelings about the class, honestly. I am thrilled and grateful for the good grade because this is a very hard subject for me but I am concerned that I don't have the knowledge expected from taking this class.
Anyway, I received an "A" in all of my classes and am ready to celebrate!
Woohoo!! :balloons:
