Chemeketa Kaplan 2020

Hello all, once again I have applied to Chemeketa's nursing program. This is my second attempt at getting into nursing school and I was just curious what everyone is studying for the Kaplan again. Last year I got 42/50 and made it on the alternate list but this year I am trying to study starting now rather than waiting until last minute. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide ?

Hey everyone now that we are done testing I did terrible and it was the reading section that killed me. I got a 74- & that brought me down 26 points so I know I’m not getting in with that score.
Anyone have any tips on that for next year? Ugh ? I’m so sad I studied so hard. I did good on the math & science which I was the most worried about. ??‍♀️

I'm so sorry that you struggled so much on the reading section. My advice is for you to work through SAT and ACT reading comprehension workbooks (there are many available on Amazon). The trick with reading comprehension is to understand what exactly the question is asking. Some of the workbooks will teach you how to quickly outline what you are reading and create a flow chart, as well as how to spot wording within the question that will clue you in on what you should be looking for as far as a correct answer. I feel your pain. I got a 81 and have been really upset but just remember that it will happen when the timing is right and when it’s supposed to happen for you! I know that Kahn Academy on the SAT portion has reading and writing sections to help!! The writing is what killed me and I thought that was going to be the easiest it was tricky for sure! Honestly the writing felt so subjective and like it was your own opinion it was weird. We got this next year!! Keep your head up!

Yes! I have been refreshing all day ?

I’m hoping they send them by Friday, so then we have a week to check scores and then they can start sending out emails

I just got an email! I’m guessing acceptance/regret/alternate letters will be sent out by the end of next week

I just emailed and asked Connie if they’re accepting 40 or 48 students
