Chemeketa Kaplan 2020

Hello all, once again I have applied to Chemeketa's nursing program. This is my second attempt at getting into nursing school and I was just curious what everyone is studying for the Kaplan again. Last year I got 42/50 and made it on the alternate list but this year I am trying to study starting now rather than waiting until last minute. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide ?

Hi everyone. I took my exam this morning and got an 86, so I’m missing 3 points total. This is my third year applying and last year I was missing 10. So I’m hoping this is finally the year ?? I’m nervous due to covid though. Waiting until mid-late June is going to be a killer

Congratulations on that score! Hopefully you get in this year, you deserve it! Hopefully they take 48 instead of 40. Does anyone know if classes in the fall are going to be normal or still remote?

I should have asked! I do wonder how it will play out because I know we are supposed to go do in person CPR classes, and I’m not seeing how that would be possible unless we have less restrictions. I wonder how remote learning would be for the first term. I believe it’s fundamentals so I would hope it wouldn’t be too hard if it is.

Yay!! Congratulations to you both! Competition does seem steep this year. I am hopeful for us. Last year, I was placed on the alternate list with 82%, so I am hopeful for the alternate list, at least. I think my total points this year is 334/335 because I had full points going into the exam so we shall see where that gets me. Praying for us!

From what I’ve seen most years people with 5 or less tend to get a spot and then alternates start happening. I’m very hopeful only missing 3 points but not trying to get too excited haha. Congratulations on your score as well, you’re definitely in.

How did you do? Good luck to you as well. This is the worst wait ever, I wish their selection process was as fast as getting the Kaplan results?

I was certain that I did terrible, but in the end got 91. Waiting to hear all the final results will be brutal. After next week, I will be checking my email multiple times, daily.

Hi everyone! I've been reading through the Kaplan and Chemeketa threads for the past two years and it feels surreal to finally be posting! I took the Kaplan this morning and I am so relieved to finally have the exam behind me. I found the reading and writing sections to be more difficult than I had anticipated, and the math to be easier. Science was about what I expected. I sure wish we were permitted to review our answers. It drives me nuts to not be able to see what I did wrong! Anyway, best wishes to all as we work to achieve our dreams!

Yay congratulations! It's so nice to have it behind you! June can't come soon enough? What was your end score?

I decided to use my score from last year on this year's application because I had classes to retake to improve my score. Out of curiosity, how did you guys test this year with everything going on? Did they only have a couple students come in to the take the test each day?

Competition sounds steep this year!

I was told they had 11 days with 4 groups a day, and there were about 8 of us in a group.
