Chemeketa Kaplan 2020

Hello all, once again I have applied to Chemeketa's nursing program. This is my second attempt at getting into nursing school and I was just curious what everyone is studying for the Kaplan again. Last year I got 42/50 and made it on the alternate list but this year I am trying to study starting now rather than waiting until last minute. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide ?

I’m also taking the Kaplan on the 28th of May! Super nervous, wish I knew a better outline of where to spend my time studying!

Do you remember your total points from last year? I just got an email, I take my test on May 12th so I've been trying to study for the Kaplan, but it's hard because so many people I've talked to tell me that the book isn't helpful and to use the videos on Kahn academy. I know there are Youtube videos people make too, but I don't know how reliable those are. I think I'm just nervous because I don't know what to expect.. do you remember anything from the test that was particularly hard? Anything helps, good luck!

How did it go? I take mine tomorrow morning!

Good luck!!

That’s helpful thanks!

how did it go? Harder/easier then expected?

Does anyone remember when they said the last test would be? When do we get to see our full score sheets? I know it was mentioned but I was so nervous I didn’t pay attention.

I think she said we’d find out total points in early June and final decisions by mid-late June!

It was about like I expected honestly. Math was SO easy, I could do more than half the problems by just plugging them into the calculator. Just know fractions and decimals.
I only missed 1 or 2 in each section except science I missed 4 I think. There were a few from each area similar to what’s posted above but they were really oddly worded in my opinion!

Sounds like you did pretty good thanks!

It didn't go good.. I got a 81%. I had full points going into the test so my total points are 325/335. I know that last year alternate #1 started at 331/335 points so I don't have any hope in getting in but I'm glad I know what to expect for next year. How did your test go?

81% is still good though! Don't give up hope!

81 is really good! I got an 87, I missed most of my points on the science section. This is my second year applying to schools, so I hope it’s enough to get in! I did find out yesterday I got accepted to my backup school though, thank goodness.

Congratulations! ? I only missed 2 on math and reading but I struggled the most with the writing which I didn’t think I would at all! It was just kinda tricky and weird! Where is your backup school? I’m confident you will get in!

Hey all! I just took the exam today, but was wondering if anyone has received their actual scoresheets yet that took it last week? I didn't know if maybe they were sending them out as they were completed, or if the scoresheets would be sent out all at once.
