  1. I didn’t have a facebook before this because I deleted it years ago but I have created a new one to join the group but it doesn’t have a photo or any friends...I’m just doing it for the group haha.
  2. Yay!! I am in too! Congratulations to you all! I am so thrilled to start with you all after experiencing this all together. ?
  3. I agree. I haven’t even been that active on here, I just read what everyone writes because I’m trying to keep myself distracted until I read that someone got their results that way I don’t get my hopes up checking my emails hahah. It is comforting that everyone is all in this together. We will get through it ?
  4. Yay!! Congratulations to you both! Competition does seem steep this year. I am hopeful for us. Last year, I was placed on the alternate list with 82%, so I am hopeful for the alternate list, at least. I think my total points this year is 334/335 because I had full points going into the exam so we shall see where that gets me. Praying for us!
  5. UPDATE, I just took my exam today too! I got an 88% which correlates to 49 points so I am super thrilled with that but also still nervous because we were told that because of COVID-19 they weren't sure how many students would get accepted this year. I missed 4 in Reading, 1 in math, 3 in writing, and 3 in science. The questions were very similar, if not the same, to last years. I found a girl on quizlet that posted really good flashcards for the science portion, I think I just searched Kaplan nursing entrance exam or something along those lines. She posted about 20 flashcards, again, very similar to this years test. I think we were also told that the last exam is the 29th of May or something like that so total scores would come out around then. Final decisions would be made mid to late June. Good luck everyone:)
  6. I forgot to mention that the proctor will not tell you your final points including grades, you will only know the points for the kap test afterwards but I already knew my total points for grades going into the Kaplan so I knew my total points (grades+Kaplan) before they sent out the email informing people whether they were accepted, denied or alternate.
  7. Right after the Kaplan, the proctor hands you a piece of paper with your scores and then I think another piece of paper with the points and percentages on it. I can't remember exactly how it went down but something along those lines. I believe mine was 82% which is 42 points out of 50. I'm not sure how they calculate the percentage/points either. You're welcome. I just googled Kaplan nursing entrance exam and it brought me to the Kaplan website. I am studying the TEAS Qbank but it is helpful. Good luck:)
  8. I was missing 8 points from the total. I can't remember the total...was it out of 330 points? I had full points going into the Kaplan but got 42 out of the 50 points on the Kaplan. I really only studied for about 2 weeks before my Kaplan last year but this year I have been studying more and I have a vague memory of some of the A&P questions that stumped me so I hope this year will be better. My test is scheduled for May 19th. I bought the Kaplan Qbank which has like 500 questions from different categories so you can test yourself and some of the questions look familiar from the test, specifically the A&P portion. I also like crashcourse on Youtube for an overview of each system for A&P. I do love Kahn academy for the math because the math was basically percents, decimals, fractions and ratios. I still have my scratch paper that I did the math on last year. Good luck, and write back after your test if you could and let me know how it went. Thank you ?
  9. Hello all, once again I have applied to Chemeketa's nursing program. This is my second attempt at getting into nursing school and I was just curious what everyone is studying for the Kaplan again. Last year I got 42/50 and made it on the alternate list but this year I am trying to study starting now rather than waiting until last minute. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide ?
  10. 20 alternates I’m sorry
  11. I thought I read that they take 20 applicants but it might be different this year because of less faculty.
  12. Yeah, I got 327/335 points and got alternate #16. Not upset about that, I’m just glad I got put on an alternate list at all haha. Best of luck to all of you ?
  13. I think we should be hearing back by mid May. I read an article saying that Chemeketa had 236 applicants this year and can only accept 40 because 3 faculty members are leaving or retiring or something like that.
  14. Im down 8 points, I am super nervous too.
  15. Yes, I am still hopeful that we will make the alternate list at least. Chemeketa does count A's and B's the same for A&P which helps.
