Chemeketa Kaplan 2020
Hi Kyla! I found Youtube videos to be the best resource. There’s a youtuber Tara Prieve who goes over the Kaplan test and recommends quizlets that are soooo helpful for the test, especially the science portion. I bought the SAT prep pack for the writing portion and I think that was the only helpful resource I found for writing. Definitely get this Kaplan prep book https://www.target.com/p/knat-full-study-guide-paperback/-/A-78034638?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tgtao&CPNG=PLA_Entertainment%2BShopping&adgroup=SC_Entertainment&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=m&location=9032966&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1248099&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7N6QpazI6gIVgx6tBh1aTwJGEAQYBCABEgLWEfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds and do the online practice tests and join the facebook group! I didn’t get in last year with my score of an 84% and this year I got a 91% just by using the above resources! I hope that helps and good luck! You’ll definitely get in next year! Also, I started studying about three months before the test this year. ❤️

Ugh same! Hopefully everyone will post here when they get their email! For reference, last year I got my email at around 1 pm. Not sure if it will be the same this year but might be nice for some people to know emails don’t always get sent out first thing in the morning. Sending love to all of you!

Chemeketa 2020
Hi Kyla! I took the Kaplan last year. I agree with what others have said about the book not being helpful... it just has too much unnecessary study material. My advice would be to not stress out about the math portion. Going into it the first time around I was preparing for algebra, tough word problems, and long division, only to realize that it was a waste of my study time. I got 100% on the math portion and all the problems could easily be put into a calculator. Just brush up on adding/subtracting decimals and basic conversions. Spend more of your time working on writing and reading in the way of vocabulary and finding the "main point" of a story and going over questions like, "What is the author most likely trying to get across in this passage?". I think the reading and writing portion of the Kaplan book was the only useful thing about it so I would study writing and reading from the book if you have it. Also from my memory, science is only gonna be on topics you learned in A+P. Blood flow, immune system, nervous system, diseases and disorders etc. I hope that helps you! Last year I went in without studying and came out with a 84%, so you're already in a better position now that we have so much extra time to study! Good luck ?
