Hi All,
I just wanted to see how everyone else was doing in A&P 1 this summer? I'm doing ok. I'm not sure about all of you, but her essay questions on the test sometimes throw me for a loop:uhoh3: Oh, well. I have a 93% average right now, but boy am I working for it:)
Talk to you soon,
Marci
Everything is going fine this week. I started on the work earlier so I don't feel like I am going crazy like last week. I still have to do the test/quizzes but I am fine with doing 2 of each on a Saturday. I hope the next two weeks goes really fast!
Thank goodness, only 3 chapters left. I don't know about all of you, but I'm starting to feel like such a scatter brain. I spend so much of my time on this course, I can't remember anything else:lol2:

I think I may have to drop and get a "w"... How frustrating!!!
I was actually hospitalized last week because of contractions and what they think is a leak in my water bag. Argh.... terrible timing. They don't want me to deliver for another 2 weeks so now I am high risk and probably in the hospital until she's born. I'd finished the busy work and quizzes but hadn't taken either test!!! I couldn't pick up a signal in the hospital.
My doctor thinks I am a total nut. But for some reason the nurses understand (hmmm, I wonder why...) Long story short no test turned in last week. That's 100 points. I emailed Tricia and she doesn't allow make-up on quiz or test. She apologized and recommended I drop the class before Friday's deadline.
What a bummer to get this far with a solid B and hopes for an A and now to just flush my hard earned money and time down the toilet. Sorry just needed to vent! I did th math and if I get 100% on EVERYTHING the best I can get is a 79%....
(which means I might as well drop it) Oh well!!!
Obviously a healthy baby is my first priority. Best of Luck in the last 2 weeks of class!!! I'll make my final decision tomorrow, but it seems like a no brainer.

I am so sorry to hear that you won't be able to complete the course. I am surprised she didn't allow you time to make up the tests, I am pretty sure the instructor for A&PII allows late assignments. Well, whatever you decide, I wish you luck and congrats on the soon to be new baby!!! How exciting!!:)
Dakeels I am really sorry that you are going to have to drop the class. I some what understand what you are going through since I am almost 36 weeks and praying to make it until next week. If it makes you feel any better I wasted over $1,000 in the spring of '05 when I had to drop A&P1 and chemistry because of my last job. I hated to lose that money because I am far from wealthy but I decided to move past that setback and try again. Hopefully, you have saved all of your homework and virtual labs on your hard drive. I think all of that busy work was the toughest part of the class. If you can find the money Reichert is teaching the class again for session II which starts 9/18. That will give you enough time to have your little one and recover a bit. I am sure she is going to change the test but the labs and H.W should be a snap since it's all from the same books. Good luck and I hope you get an A when you take the class again!
Dionna, although I'm not in your class, I can sympathize with you. I've had to withdraw from classes at the last minute b/c of health problems. If you haven't saved your homework, can you go back and copy/paste it from your online journal (I'm assuming you guys submit them that way like we do) so you won't have to redo it? Maybe you could do that before dropping? Since you've gotten this far with the class, you might consider taking it as a short class in the fall - 8 weeks, although I'm sure it's probably Simmons that teaches it!
Good luck with the baby - your health and that baby's health are MUCH more important than losing the time and money in this class!
Thanks! You are all right. Re-taking it will be much easier because I do have all of the reading assignments and labs done. I also have the quizzes and test saved on my hard drive. I am sure the quizzes & test will be different, but they will make a great study guide. Good luck finishing out the course & best of luck Falon with the baby!

Whew! It's finally over...I can hardly believe it. If things go well with this last test then that means I made it through A&P1 with a solid B. I was trying for an A but it just wasn't meant to be. I had a lot of difficulty with the nervous system. I am going to celebrate with a little ice cream and I just told my baby that she is allowed to be born now!
I neglected to register for the session II A&PII course and now it's all full so I registered for Simmons class during session III. Good luck to everyone that is finishing A&PI!
