  1. Thanks! You are all right. Re-taking it will be much easier because I do have all of the reading assignments and labs done. I also have the quizzes and test saved on my hard drive. I am sure the quizzes & test will be different, but they will make a great study guide. Good luck finishing out the course & best of luck Falon with the baby! Dionna
  2. I think I may have to drop and get a "w"... How frustrating!!! I was actually hospitalized last week because of contractions and what they think is a leak in my water bag. Argh.... terrible timing. They don't want me to deliver for another 2 weeks so now I am high risk and probably in the hospital until she's born. I'd finished the busy work and quizzes but hadn't taken either test!!! I couldn't pick up a signal in the hospital. My doctor thinks I am a total nut. But for some reason the nurses understand (hmmm, I wonder why...) Long story short no test turned in last week. That's 100 points. I emailed Tricia and she doesn't allow make-up on quiz or test. She apologized and recommended I drop the class before Friday's deadline. What a bummer to get this far with a solid B and hopes for an A and now to just flush my hard earned money and time down the toilet. Sorry just needed to vent! I did th math and if I get 100% on EVERYTHING the best I can get is a 79%.... (which means I might as well drop it) Oh well!!! Obviously a healthy baby is my first priority. Best of Luck in the last 2 weeks of class!!! I'll make my final decision tomorrow, but it seems like a no brainer. Dionna
  3. Argh.... 2 chapters again this week. I have a crazy week, as I am hosting my family reunion and Friday and Saturday is jammed packed with activities. This week is going to be a killer for me. I have tons of relatives int own etc. I am going to treat this week as if everything is due by Thursday at midnight. I definitely won't try to cram like I did this week. I am so afraid that my grade is going to drop also. I am already in the B range and was hoping to get back into the A range.... now I feel like I'll be lucky to hold on to my B. Anything less than a B is like flushing time and money down the drain because I will have to re-take it before I apply to nursing school. Well, Here's wishing everyone the best of luck. Only 3 more weeks to go!! Dionna
  4. Marci, I am plugging away as we speak. I still have to finish the lab for chapter 10 and the test for both... I think the joint test won't be too bad, but not sure about chapter 10's test. We'll see. Thanks so much for the link. Dionna
  5. Thanks Falon!! I think you are right we will have to double up at least one more time. wow... I can't imagine doing this in 5 weeks. I think they do 2 chapters a week, but I don't think they have much if any busy work. It probably wouldn't be as bad if we only had to do a test, but I must admit the "guaranteed" points help a lot. Good Luck with your all nighter... I am yawning already :-)
  6. OK, my turn!! Now, it's Thursday and I have made so little lead way. I am going to pull an all nighter tonight, which is super hard at 8 months pregnant. I need to get all the busy work done TONIGHT!!! Chapter reviews, webliographies, discussions and labs. Then I HAVE to take at least one test tomorrow. If not Saturday will be hell. I am so overwhelmed!!! With 2 kids, pregnancy and 2 other classes.... this week might put me over or should I say in the Ku Ku(s) nest. OK, I am done whining too!!!
  7. I can't believe I got an A on the quiz and B on the test. Thank Goodness, because this week is gonna be scary. OMG ...... (2) 90 minute test, (2) 30 min quizzes, (6) threaded discussions, double virtual labs and (2 )chapter reviews to complete. It's Wednesday and I am so overwhelmed just thinking about all the work I have ahead of me. Now that we are 1/2 way through the week. How are y'all doing? How are you pacing yourselves?
  8. I am glad to know it's not just me feeling about chapter 6. Not to mention I haven't had nearly enough time to read or study for this chapter. I haven't even dared to peak at chapter 7 :-) Good Luck!!
  9. I have also been trying to figure out what I am going to do about Micro. I just went to Rio's site and they do offer lots of courses. And the tuition seems reasonable. However, I did notice that for Micro it requires 2 "in-person exams". Was that the case when you took the course? Thanks, Dionna
  10. Yep, I took a look at the syllabus and there seems to be lots of "busy" work, however it may be a good thing because our test only count for 35% of our final grade. That is a bummer that we have to buy another book & CD. I was looking forward to not having to purchase another text book. I have heard good things about ccconline but I've also heard you end up spending about $1,000 per class after the fees, books, lab kits, etc... I will just pay for a sitter for a couple hours and go on campus for that one class before I spend that much. We'll see. Dionna
  11. Have you heard much about Chemistry and Micro at edukan? I know they offer the courses but I haven't heard much about anyone's experience taking these courses at Edukan. Our threaded discussion are really active also. I just noticed that I didn't see lots of people's names. I figured there must be 2 groups. Dionna
  12. Hey Guys, Things are going pretty well here. I slipped under the 90 mark last week, so now I am stressing. I wasn't able to read or study much for the cells chapter. I am hoping this weeks quiz and test will bring me back into the A range. I agree that the slides are VERY helpful and the chapter summaries are good also. I don't think it's hard, but you've got to put time into it and if or when you don't it shows. I've been wondering about the threaded discussions. It seems like its the same core group of us that participate. Are people just not choosing to contribute? Or are there 2 different groups. I noticed (Group A) next to my grade. What are your plans for A&P II when are you taking it & who's the instructor. I am registered for it in the Fall with Terry Lee & Chemistry with Paul Clemens. I am still debating whether or not it is a good idea to take them at the same time. What are you all planning? Dionna
  13. That is good to know. Thanks!
  14. Great Advice!!! I am so glad I switched classes. Thanks, I'd love the ISBN for the study guide. Good Luck in AP II!
  15. Hi Lana, Quick Question????? I Think I Read On A Different Post That You Had Dr. Simmons In Ap 1. Are You Taking Ap Ii With Him As Well? How Was Your Experience.
