You guys have essay questions???? Hope all is going well. I start A&P2 on June 26 - fun stuff!
She gives us one essay question with each exam. They are kind of hard, though. They are not something you learned "straight out of the chapter". They are more like "what can you infer from using what you just learned as to why this happens". Sometimes I guess right, sometimes not.
Who are you taking A&P 2 with? I signed up for A&P 2 in the fall with Terry Lee.

I'm taking it again with Simmons, which I will probably regret. But at least I will have it over with!

I am taking the Edukan A&PI right now also. I can't say I am doing as well as you are. I was surprised by the amount of course work or "busy work" it seems that we have. A 93% is really great, do you have any study suggetions? I read and re-read the book, but it doesn't show when I test!

I read through her "slide shows" everyday. Usually by Friday, I pretty much know what the chapter is about.
I don't pay too much attention to the chapter reading. I usually just read it once (boring reading if you ask me). However, read the summary at the end a few times a week as well.
And last, I study the end of the chapter questions. That's pretty much about it.

I am taking A&P1 too...Hi Marci!
This class is time intensive, I wasn't expecting to spend so much time doing the work. I think I might start to focus on the slides a bit more too...I find the textbook to be very...very boring reading. I have fallen asleep reading that book. Other than that everything is going fine but I can't wait till it's all over.

That's a really great suggestion, I'm going to give it a try. Glad to know I'm not the only one bored with the book.

Hey Guys,
Things are going pretty well here. I slipped under the 90 mark last week, so now I am stressing. I wasn't able to read or study much for the cells chapter. I am hoping this weeks quiz and test will bring me back into the A range.
I agree that the slides are VERY helpful and the chapter summaries are good also. I don't think it's hard, but you've got to put time into it and if or when you don't it shows.
I've been wondering about the threaded discussions. It seems like its the same core group of us that participate. Are people just not choosing to contribute? Or are there 2 different groups. I noticed (Group A) next to my grade.
What are your plans for A&P II when are you taking it & who's the instructor. I am registered for it in the Fall with Terry Lee & Chemistry with Paul Clemens. I am still debating whether or not it is a good idea to take them at the same time.
What are you all planning?

How many of the students taking online classes at Edukan also work full time? I would assume it s a fairly high number. Also, how are the test given. Do you have to sign something stating you will take them honestly? Are they timed?

I think there are two different groups for the threaded discussion. I'm in group B. Our group seems pretty active. Maybe a few people from your group dropped the course?
I'm taking A&P 2 this fall with Lee also. I'm in the fall session 2 group. I hope someone drops from the A&P 2 session 1 fall group because I need their spot:) I would rather have the course over the entire semester. It's just easier on me that way.
I really don't know how many of the students work full time.
The tests are given online. And yes, they are timed.
No, you don't have to sign anything about academic honesty. However, imho, you couldn't possibly "cheat" because many of the questions are "what you can infer from text reading". And since the tests are timed, you have to know the info or you would run out of time for your exam.
