It is lovely there and the schools are reported to be very good. I know a UK nurse who lives there with her family. The houses are slightly more expensive but it is very pretty and great views of the mountains.

I live in Chandler. i just moved there. its really nice. We live off Warner Rd in a subdivision. Its a beautiful house and a very quiet, nice, well kept neighborhood. There is also lots to do in the area and everything is very close and convienient.

chandler is great. good community and its still relatively new so there much much more to come.

How exciting to see Chandler nurses here!:monkeydance: I'm new in Chandler...Rural & Chandler Blvd. I'd love to get to know other nurses in this area! I relocated from Fl. just 2 mos. ago!

Ahwatukee is very nice..I do know some people there and they love it! I don't know about schools, but I could check around. It's very nice in this area, as well. Very safe, also.

I haven't started the process for obtaining an AZ license and would love to hear how you did it and any ins & outs.

COOL!

Hi! I am in Chandler, too. I really like it. We have lived here for 8 years. It's very family friendly. Ahwatukee is also nice. Both areas have good schools and other things. There are also many charter schools in this area that are excellent. My daughter goes to one. :) The only "bad" area of Chandler is near downtown. It's low income and not kept up very well. I still wouldn't consider it bad though. Lots of children and families are out all the time. They just don't have a lot of money for upkeep. The schools in the "bad" area are at the top of the rankings thanks to hard working teachers.

Hello,

Lived in Chandler for many years before moving to Northern AZ. Lived near Warner and Dobson. The house was south of Warner and East of Pennington on Stottler Drive. Nice area and the school down the street at the end of Pennington was a Blue Ribbon School (Anderson Elementary). Its about 45 minutes I would guess to Casa Grande from there but freeway all the way. Lots of restaurants and stores around. The city has good activities for sports as does the local (Tempe) YMCA. There are some nice areas in western chandler off Elliott or Warner Drives too. I've never been to Casa Grande's hospital but know an RN and a doc that have been there for quite some time so must be something there to keep them. They both lived in the valley (mesa and tempe). Enjoy!

Hi! I am very familiar with Chandler as I have lived here my entire life (yup all 21 years of it) and it is a great place to live. I went through my entire schooling in Chandler (K-12th) and had an excellent education as proof to the fact that I will be graduating in May 2007 from ASU with my BSN in nursing. I went to Chandler High and it is an excellent school with a good reputation in education and athletics. I know Chandler like the back of my hand and I actually grew up near the "ghetto" of Chandler (Warner & AZ Ave) and really that isn't bad at all...lol. I am actually doing my clinical rotation at Chandler Regional right now and I can tell it is a very good hospital and the nurses there are very good and nice to us students which is always a huge plus as well. There are many community activities in Chandler. Pick up a breaktime from the downtown center off of Boston and AZ Ave (Boston is just South of Chandler Blvd if traveling S from Ray) and you will find everything from dance to art to swimming lessons. I was a big part of the aquatics department throughout my teen years as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, and a manager and I can tell you that it is a great program too. If any of you want to know anything at all about Chandler just hit me up!
