CGFNS PROBLEMS

Hi! My name is Jing, A graduate of BSN batch 2013 in the Philippines. Living in California but pursuing to take my NCLEX-RN in Texas.

So here is the whole story of my scenario.

March 2014 - IELTS taken - result: 8.5 band score

April 1, 2014 - CGFNS (CES) filed

April 16, 2014 - Transcript received by CGFNS but was not accepted due to "A Valid Signature was not provided."

*Called them right away to see what should be done regarding this, they informed me to get in touch with the school and let them know what had happened. They also informed me that they would be sending a "TRANSCRIPT VALIDATION FORM" to my school and would just have to wait it out.

May 01, 2014 - I called them regarding the "TRANSCRIPT VALIDATION FORM" supposedly sent to my school. They had informed me that no action was done because I had not "called" before regarding this matter.

May 03, 2014 - It finally showed on the "CORRESPONDENCE" tab that they had sent out the "TVF"

SPARINGLY between May - Present (June 25, 2014)

-Around 2nd week of May I called my school hoping they had received the "TVF"

-Called CGFNS, they told me to wait it out.

-3rd, 4th week of May I've been calling for the same reason and had gotten the same response "to wait it out". So I did as they told me to and patiently "waited it out".

I've been calling CGFNS all the time giving me different responses.

*First they told me that they will put a "note" that they will send out another "TVF" form.

*Second they told me that they had not seen any "note" on my ORDER.

*Third CONVERSATION with their representative (annoyed with a "I'm not speaking to an educated person" tone of voice)

BLAHBLAHBLAH after all confirmations:

>Me: Is there a way you could give me the address of the school that you sent the letter to, to confirm the address please.

>Me: Okay I will do that then. May I have the address so I can send a letter?

(HOW HARD IS IT TO GIVE THE ADDRESS?!)

So as told by the representative I wrote a letter on June 04, 2014. Sent it via Priority Mail Express. Tracked in and they received it on June 06, 2014.

FOURTH time I called, (THE NICEST REPRESENTATIVE I EVER SPOKEN TO AFTER TENS AND TWENTIES OF CALLS)

He informed me that NO letter was SENT to my school for the second time even though I had written them a letter. He also gave the address of the school in which they had sent it to for the first time and guided me all throughout. He sent out the "TVF" form himself and also confirmed to have received my letter to them.

Question: Have anybody experienced problems with CGFNS? How do you handle rude representatives? Have they given you false hopes or lies? Why is it so hard to deal with them? I've waited so looooooong already and my time is running out. My family is pressuring me so much to take my NCLEX-RN. :( I'm beyond frustrated. Till now my school still has not received the TVF. What should my next steps be?

I applied to two states , i have registered with one, but yeah it crossed my mind i will need to get the other done

You can only register for one state for initial licensure by examination then endorse to the second.

Even tho i have applied to two states? Why do cgfns allow you to apply to more than one state if you can only get licence in one? Confused ? Do you know ?

CGFNS does not care they do the assessments for any and all states that you pay them to do.

You can only apply for licensing by examination and subsequently register for the NCLEX for one state at a time. You pick the state where you wish to live and work. Once licensed in the first state you are done with the NCLEX then you endorse if you need licensure in other states.

Some have applied for license by examination in two or more states then use the first ATT (say state A) issued to take the NCLEX. You can only register for the NCLEX with a single board of nursing for an exam. Then when they tried to quickly endorse to state B they had a lot of red tape & phone calls to make to the BoN since they had a pending licensing by examination application. Someone had to manually rescind the initial license by examination application then the candidate had to reapply for endorsement. It added weeks onto gaining the endorsed license had they just applied to one state by examination, waited, passed NCLEX, waited for license to post then apply for endorsement to the second state.

The states don't share pre- examination application information so nothing will stop you from applying but you can only receive ONE ATT, choose one BoN when registering with Pearson Vue (which must be the state that issued the ATT)

You can be licensed in more than one state but you can only get an initial license by examination in one state. Additional licenses are by endorsement. It is the nurse's responsibility to meet the education, continuing education, and practice requirements for each state they hold a license. I know nurses that live in a non-compact state that maintain more that 6 different licenses because of the nature of their career.

Hi! I have another question please. How do I apply to BON specifically? Do I send in my application form along with the payment of $125 and the fingerprint card? I am applying to texas by the way and my CES report just switched to "ready for review" 3 days ago.

Follow instructions on the TX BoN website for licensing by examination as an IEN. It's pretty clear, including where to send the fingerprint cards.

Hi everyone! I hope someone can help me with this issue. I just received an e-mail from CGFNS saying that my transcripts were rejected due to an invalid signature and seal. I called and they said they sent a letter to my school in order to validate the signature and seal. The main problem is that authorities at my university do not speak a word in English and i will be travelling abroad in two weeks which means i will not be able to fix it before i leave. I'd like to know what exactly does CGFNS means with valid signature and seals and if it would be better if my school sends the transcript form again?

Hi! I need your help. I have the same issue "not valid signature provided" and just called CGFNS, they said they sent a letter to my school in order to verify the signature. I believe the problem is that the dean instead of signing her entire name she signed with her regular signature (scribble) and it may not be clear for.CGFNS.

Due to vacation period, my school will not work until the first week.of aug. And i don't know how long it will take for the letter to arrive. I was wondering if i could skip this step and ask the school to fill the "transcript validation form" and send it again to CGFNS because i dont want to waste too much time waiting for the letter to be received by the school. Any suggestion?
