Hi, for NY Board, you have to take the mandatory certificates such as infection control and child abuse. If you don’t want to work for children you don’t need to take the training for child abuse, but in this case you have to fill up the document about your situation. My license was delayed because I forgot to fill this document and after calling the board I learnt the reason for delay. I hope my answer helps you.
