CGFNS CVS for NY State: STAGNANT

World Registration

Published

Hello. I am applying for RN application by examination in New York State. I am still processing my CGFNS CVS for NY State since Nov2012. It has been a long time since I purchased my order and haven't got any progress on the service. I've made inquiries to CGFNS Customer Care and told me that the requests are already sent to my school... TWICE. However, i contacted my school and told me that they haven't receive any documents/requests from CGFNS.. I am afraid if i cant complete the documents that CGFNS requested from my school within the given 180 days.

WHAT SHOULD I DO? How did you guys follow up your CGFNS CVS for NY State?

Yes there is nothing wrong in asking the school for info

Thank you for your response Ma'am. I also have another worry, I called cgfns and asked the customer rep when they would open my letter since I tracked the courier and their office has already received my docu but it not yet reflected on my file. She asked me how I knew about the tracking number and told her my mom followed up on my school and tracking number was given to her. She then told me that I wasn't allowed to intervene in the process and that my application could be denied because of that. Should I be worried? Has anyone been rejected because of them calling their school or intervening in the process?

To add to that, yesterday I called and the guy who answered my call even asked my tracking number and was kind enough to assist me.

I honestly do not think you have anything to worry about. Many people have corresponded with their schools when it comes to CVS and had no issues

Thank you for your reassurance Ma'am. :) I hope everything goes well with my application.

I'd like to thank everyone who answered on this thread.. it's been very helpful for me in my application process.

I do, however am slightly panicking because I read about having to submit forms to NY BON and I have not yet. On May CGFNS has received my documents, and a month later it was ready for review. On the 'issued report' column it's status says that it's 'waiting for approval'.

I've read that ones advice we should wait first for CGFNS at least to receive our documents before applying to NY BON and now I realize that a kind lady on the CGFNS website told me to register for nysed (or is it nybon) online - I believe it was and sent me a link via email, which I have now lost.

Please help me - I'm confused with what I should do. Does anyone know where I can register for it online? and do I have to send forms to NY BON via mail? What are the requirements?

I'm sorry for all this - I've applied since November and my memory is cloudy on what I should do... I've mistakenly been thinking wrong..

You can send in your application now to the NY BON and from what I can see you need to mail application to them

No it doesn't matter if you haven't passed required courses before submitting application and will not matter if mail is slow

Hi Smargadine,

I'm in a CGFNS-CVS NY dilemma right now. The school did nOT send my transcript within the 180 days allotted time. Now my CGFNS-CVS order status is "Ready for Submission". What happens that my papers were sent to NY State without transcript? Does this end all my chances of working as an RN in NY? Please reply, anxious and need help.....Thanks so much

CGFNS send everything they have to the state and then the state meets up and reviews case and any further required information needed will be requested plus information on how to send it to them

HI, is it ok to declare only one active license which is prc licsense? or also include license from other countries but already been expired that i"ve worked like uae because im sure it would take more time for it to be process and arab national who do the processing are very slowww. im curretly in canada not working as a nurse because it would take more yrs here to be RN. thats why im considering to get my license in NYS so i can apply in border which is 1 hr away from montreal.

hi

You do realise that the BON could take action if you lied or

omitted on your application form?

One of the questions on the NY BON application form that you complete. Do you now hold, or have you ever held, a license or certificate to practice any profession* in any jurisdiction?

If yes, list each license/certificate, state or jurisdiction and provide appropriate information in the columns below. A Form 3 must be submitted for

each professional license/certificate listed unless it is a license/certificate issued by the New York State Education Department. See the

Applicant Instructions on Form 3 for specific information about completing and submitting the form.

hi

If it asks for all licenses you need to declare all licenses and verify. CVS takes 6+ months. If not a Canadian citizen you don't qualify for TN visa. If you haven't worked in a while what visa do you plan on qualifying for to be able to work in the US. EB3 can be over a decade wait depending on country of birth. H1B is a specialist visa that is rarely awarded to nurses in recent years.
