I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.
I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.
Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.
However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..
How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?
Hi kababayan. CGFNS-CVS doesn't require you to have a license, they are just asking if you have one. I applied to them 6 months ago without taking the NLE back home. They waived the license requirement on my CGFNS account. I got my eligibility from NY bon about a week ago. Good luck. :)

anybody know wht kind of documents do CGFNS CVS mailed to the nursing college. they said they sent the letter to school on Jan 2016 but it hasn't been recieved by my college yet. if I know what letters to provide to college, I can print them and ask them to sealed in an envelope and send back to cgfns cvs.
It is a cgfns -school transaction . You cant handle the papers cgfns is sending or receiving. It usually took a month before the school receives it. Cgfns gives maximum 3 requests if the school doesnt respond after 60 days.
it has been 7 months already. Last time I called CGFNS in march and they were sending second letter. when I called my school and nursing council, they didn't receive anything from CGFNS. I wonder what happen to the letters. Don't know what to do now
I submitted mine last Feb 2016, but up to now PRC hasn't received anything from CGFNS.
According to their correspondence thay have sent the documents to PRC last March 2016. But I called PRC and they said they haven't received mine yet. It's already 6 months, would I still be accepted 😢
Hi everyone, i am processing my cvs too. And i worry because this coming sept 2 will be the 180th day as reflected on the email from cgfns international...i tried to reach the verification section of prc but its always call failed. Do i need to pay any amount to them for the processing? Or they will automatically send the verification to cgfns?please help me
