Hi,
I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.
I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.
Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.
However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..
How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?
Please kindly suggest me !!!
I am just soo pissed off. My college send them all necessary documents but CGFNS claims that they didn't receive any. So I gave them the tracking number with says that they were delivered on the 20th of December. Than they told me that they have a big volume of aplicants and they didn't process my docs yet. I called them couple time. Each time the representative says they didn't get any papers, I gave him tracking number and they promised to update.... 180 days from the first letter will be in April. So after that CGFNS will send my incomplete aplication to the Board. I am so upset....

Hi ANurse 12, I have the same situation here. My status for CVS is READY TO SUBMIT cause it's due since DEC. Both nursing college and council had mailed back the paper to them since JULY and they still claimed paper "waiting to be received".
They have conflicted messages every time I called or emailed. I saw tons of bad review from yelp too. This month they just stopped return my email nor I could get hold of them on phone. I am planning to file complaints to Pennsylvania office of attorney general and Better Business Bureau soon after meeting them next week.
No need to go to PRC I've done the same before, I went to PRC manila but chances are it's not gonna help you thinking about it. They will process the documents needed once they receive the letter. It's an internal transaction between CGFNS and PRC. I still got PRC number 02-310-2020 if you wish to call them. As what was most have been telling on this thread. Processing of documents until receiving of your ATT is waiting game. Prayer works when anxiety kicks in thinking about your documents. But I suggest divert your thoughts on preparing for the exams than getting anxious about the documents. I started processing with CFGNS last June-July 2016 and so far it has been a smooth process..
Do you mean the forms you can download? I did that. I sent them to my school. The filled it up and sent straight to CGFNS
I have tracking number. Documents were delivered to CGFNS in December but they never been updated on the website. So I start calling CGFNS. Everytime I did, they said they didn't receive anything, then I gave them tracking number. They promice to update it. Never happened. Last time the representative told me that my application can be disqualified because I contacted my school. Now I am just waiting to see what gonna happen...

I can answer your question for no. 1. That's ok if your papers are incomplete, BON will be the one to ask for the missing requirements and you can just send those requirements directly to them. After submitting everything they need, they will issue you the eligibility letter.
