CGFNS-CVS New York process ?

Hi,

I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.

I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.

Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.

However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point.. :(

How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?

Please kindly suggest me !!!

It's a letter requesting your documents to provide proof that you graduated on the said institution. Did you receive an email confirmation from CGFNS that they've sent a letter to your school? You should check your email. In my case, they've sent the letter countless times to the institution where I graduated.

I sent 3 transcript to cgfns, and in every single time cgfns send email say they recive it and its not accepted b/c they want my school to send it directly without i contact with them.

Your school should be the one who will mail the documents not you. That is for them to confirm that your credentials are legitimate. Based on my experience, CGFNS will not only send the letter once to your school but many times if needed, and if they haven't receive anything from your school.

My school gave me the sealed envelope and I put The sender 's address is the university' s address

Any guidance would be appreciated please. Application here in california for graduates 2010 up are not being acknowledged anymore

I am about to apply for NY license and read about the cgfns CVS requirements too.

Can I confirm that the license will be waived? And do I need to send a letter or anything? I wasn't able to take the board back home and I'm currently a resident here in the states.

I'm planning to send my application to CGFNS CVS and NY BON this week. And would it be a good to personally process my requirements back home para faster?

What do you mean by "Application here in california for graduates 2010 up are not being acknowledged anymore". They do not acknowledge BSN degree from Philippines?

Hi ANurse 12, I have the same situation here. My status for CVS is READY TO SUBMIT cause it's due since DEC. Both nursing college and council had mailed back the paper to them since JULY and they still claimed paper "waiting to be received".

They have conflicted messages every time I called or emailed. I saw tons of bad review from yelp too. This month they just stopped return my email nor I could get hold of them on phone. I am planning to file complaints to Pennsylvania office of attorney general and Better Business Bureau soon after meeting them next week.

Is it any changes since December ? My case turn to ready for submission without receiving traanscript validation form.

Hi, please help. In the CVS application, for the item 1, what should I check or tick? I'm a BSN Graduate but I didn't take the local board exam in the Philippines so I am not yet an RN. The choices are RN, Practucal nurse, PT, OT, etc?

Hi nurses! I'm about to start my online application to NY, and now my greatest dilemma had to be my two long names. Under Form 1 of NYSED the first name cannot exceed 15 characters (but my two names would exceed 15 characters), while on cgfns-CVS, the name should be exactly as it appears on NYSED form. So would it be ok to omit my second name on both NYSED and CVS? though all my documents and IDs would show my 2 given names? Any advise? Please help
