Hi,
I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.
I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.
Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.
However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..
How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?
Please kindly suggest me !!!
I had my license in PRC renewed by third week of Dec. at a regional office. PRC Main office in Manila processed my papers for the CGFNS CVS service second week of January. Waiting for it to arrive at CGFNS office. Problem is, the status of my CVS is already ready for submission because it already reached the 180 days limit.
I see. That is good to hear. So NYSED issued you a NY license already?new york office of the professions doesnt really nead your prc. cgfns cvs when i processed it waived my prc requirement. the most impt is only the school requirement .
My CVS CGFNS status has been "ready for submission" for several days now. I wonder whats taking them so long to finalize the report for submission. I hope i can get the NY license by end of Feb so I can go jobhunting already. Have to start working... Never ending bills to pay.
I wonder why they waived your prc because mine, they didnt. My PRC status is "waiting to be received". The only thing they waived on my CVS application is the NM and TX licenses that I declared because they are able to verify those two thru Nursys online. My current CVS status is Ready for Final Review.

CGFNS is responsible for getting all relevant paperwork. Include everything and CGFNS will decide whether they need to get it or not
