I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.
I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.
Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.
However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..
How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?
i applied online for nclex newyork.. i have sent my authorization forms and the notarized application.. my order status is READY FOR PROCESSING.. my authorization forms are received.. but in the status of the NOTARIZED APPLICATION says waiting to be received.. i have sent it with the authorization forms.. do i have to send another NOTARIZED APPLICATION? Though in the notes it says received UPDATED NY APPLICATION.. im a bit confused..
Hi, I'm from the Philippines. I currently in the process of applying cgfns cvs for new york state through online. The problem that I have encountered is that the filled up documents that I should print and mail to cgfns have information that are inaccurate and incomplete which where not prompted to me to fill up during the online application process. The details of which are the following:
> Authorization for Verification of Academic Records/Transcripts Form: School's Current Address is left blank.
> Authorization for Validation of Registration/License: Licensing Authority's Name and address is left blank.
My question is, do I have to still fill this up? Because I think cgfns would not be able to know the address of my school and licensing authority if I would not fill up the gaps. But I am worried because there is no instruction to fill the gaps.. Please help me. Thank you.
@NurseZeed if you haven't paid CGFNS yet for your order, you can place another CVS order and restart the application again with the correct information. If you have submitted your payment, you should email CGFNS instead and ask them yourself.
I want to know that whether cgfns resend the documents if all documents are not reached with in 180 days?My one document is pending ,and also should i take the class of infection prevention and child abuse? i'm processing from Newyork board of nursing.
hey guys.. so i've got an update from cgfns about my cvs application.. and it says in my order status WAITING FOR THE REQUIRED ITEMS... nd under my requirement SIGNED NOTARIZED APPLICATION the status is RECEIVED BUT NOT ACCEPTED... under the correspondence it says
""Your application is incomplete due to the following missing item(s): SIGNED NOTARIZED APPLICATION
In order to begin the verification process, CGFNS International requires that all the required forms and/or payment be received and accepted.""
should i send another copy of my application signed and notarized to cgfns again?
and also my ISSUED REPORT says WAITING FOR APPROVAL.. does that mean they already contact the OP NY?
Did you use a tracking number for your notarized application? I would re-notarize a new application and send it with a tracking if that is not what was done the first time.
Hi shmaylay, My status in CGFNS account is already Mailed. I went to NYSED site to download 3 forms which is form 1, form 1ce and form 3. Did you take an online course for child abuse and infection control.
Hi! Can anyone please help me? I Have applied online for the Credential Verification Service for New York State and already paid online thru visa card last October 16, 2015.My problem is that whenever I try to print the needed documents,the file cannot be opened. What appears on the screen when I try to download and open the file are either "internal connection error",adobe reader could not open because either not supported file type or because the file has been damaged".Could it be possible for me to just download the application handbook instead and just answer the pages required (CVS for NYS Application,License Authorization/Validation Form,Transcript Validation/Authorization Form)and just send the requested documents to CGFNS?Thank you.

Unfortunately normal for CGFNS nothing you can do but wait and if necessary keep calling. Normal average processing time for CES is 4 months
