Hey! Hoping to get an answer here before I call and wait on hold tomorrow. My license expired last week on 5/31 and is in delinquent status right now. I completed my 30 CEUs in September 2021, so less than 2 years ago. Can I renew based on those completed CEUs and just make sure to complete another 30 by September of this year (when it's actually the 2 year mark)? That's what I gathered from the attached FAQ I found on Breeze. Or am I interpreting it incorrectly?

@starmickey03 - moving to general nursing to hopefully get you a quicker response and also pinning to the top.

By "30 CEUs" I take it you're in California, but you didn't specify. "Waiting on hold" is another clue that it's California.
You are going to have to find out what the rules are in your state.
Meanwhile, please notify your employer that your license has lapsed. Do not work without an active license. Good luck getting this straightened out ASAP.

Thank you. Yes, it's CA but I do not live in CA. I live in AZ and have a compact license that covers my current job role. The CA license is just one of my additional nursing licenses.

CA Continuing Education for License Renewal
Note that Implicit Bias 1hour CE education now required starting January 1, 2023.
§ 1419.3. Reinstatement of Expired License.
Quote A licensee may renew a license that has not been expired for more than eight years by paying the renewal and penalty fees as specified in Section 1417 and providing evidence of 30 hours of continuing education taken within the prior two-year period.

So for license expiring 5/31/2023. all continuing education needs to have been completed from 6/1/2021 to 5/31/2023.
Fees;
Penalty Fee for Failure to Timely Renew a Registered Nurse License $90 in addition to Biennial Registered Nurse Renewal Fee $190
