Hello fellow RNs!
So the application for Cedar-Sinai's RN Residency Program opened for the March 2015 Cohort. I thought that this would be the perfect place to gather and talk about our experiences and thoughts as applications are being reviewed. Has anyone applied in the past?? What is the turnaround time from application to interviews? I know from past threads that there were three rounds of interviews.
If any RNs are in the program now or have completed the program, please feel free to post with any comments, tips, or advice about the interview process.
Good luck everyone!!
*Edit: My apologies, I'm new to allnurses.com and discovered that there are other relevant threads/forums. I'll repost this over at "California Nursing"
Mine's at 3pm. I have a few classmates that are going later, around 4 - 4:30pm. Sounds interesting that they conduct multiple interviews at the same time. Guess that's how they're so efficient!@umad: May I ask what unit you are working on? How is the training at CS? I've always heard great things about the RN residency at CS, but nothing specific (e.g. number of weeks training on the floor/ in class, weeks with preceptor).
I don't work there. When I went to the second round, the manager was really distracted by the other manager (we were sharing a table) and she was obviously tired of interviewing (this was at 4 pm). It wasn't a good experience, although I did well. I hope it works out better for you.
They will give you more information about the program when you sign in.
