Cedars-Sinai New Grad Residency - March 2015

Published

Hello fellow RNs!

So the application for Cedar-Sinai's RN Residency Program opened for the March 2015 Cohort. I thought that this would be the perfect place to gather and talk about our experiences and thoughts as applications are being reviewed. Has anyone applied in the past?? What is the turnaround time from application to interviews? I know from past threads that there were three rounds of interviews.

If any RNs are in the program now or have completed the program, please feel free to post with any comments, tips, or advice about the interview process.

Good luck everyone!!

*Edit: My apologies, I'm new to allnurses.com and discovered that there are other relevant threads/forums. I'll repost this over at "California Nursing"

Had a reliable source who told me that third round would be on the 9th. I am just so eager to know how many will move forward to the next round from 70 applicants.

Last invites are being sent out!! Sounds like the exact same set-up as the previous round. Does anyone know what type of questions to expect this time? Past cohorts have mentioned that they're more behavioral rather than clinical.

Heard its more behavioral questions too. What time is your appointment @bananafana

3:00 PM. Did you get an invite as well??

Yeah mines at 230. Just RSVP now. I really wonder how many made it to the final phase.

They're out!! Check your email!!

@bobcee - from 70 applicants, my guess is that maybe 50 advanced, and then they'll just cut the rest for the final 25 positions. Good luck everyone!!

Good luck!! My interview is at 2:30 as well. ahh!

Whew, what a day... Aaaand now we play the waiting game. How did everyone else's interview go? What other units were interviewing? I saw ortho, medical, women's health, and stroke out there today.

I had 5 interviewers. they were joking around a lot with me. Hopefully it went well.

I had 3 interviewers, they were smiling and laughing a tad bit but they seemed too focus squeezing answers from me. They were from the 8 south, Not sure which unit that is but i think its PCU.

Ive been told that they will call those who gets accepted. And email those who dont.

I've also heard about the calls vs. emails. Guess I won't be checking my email that day lol.

@emae: 5?? Wow that's intense!

I was interviewed by the manager and assistant manager from 4N - they said it was a med/surg and stroke unit.
