Cedars-Sinai New Grad Residency - March 2015

Published

Hello fellow RNs!

So the application for Cedar-Sinai's RN Residency Program opened for the March 2015 Cohort. I thought that this would be the perfect place to gather and talk about our experiences and thoughts as applications are being reviewed. Has anyone applied in the past?? What is the turnaround time from application to interviews? I know from past threads that there were three rounds of interviews.

If any RNs are in the program now or have completed the program, please feel free to post with any comments, tips, or advice about the interview process.

Good luck everyone!!

*Edit: My apologies, I'm new to allnurses.com and discovered that there are other relevant threads/forums. I'll repost this over at "California Nursing"

Hi!

I also applied yesterday and would like to hear of anyone else's experience on their new grad process. I felt lucky to have even seen the opening. I volunteered in the morning and randomly checked indeed.com for any new postings right after and I saw that Cedars posted it 2 hours ago. I quickly applied. Later on last night, I saw that it had disappeared. I wonder how long it was even posted lol. Anyway good luck to you bananafana and others who were able to apply! :) Keep us posted

hello,

i too had applied yesterday & according to the fb thread on one of the forums, it had only been open for a couple hours before they reached 120 applicants.

Thank you and good luck to you too! I just saw how supportive and informative past threads were and would just love to have that here too (also, so that way we'll know what's going on). It's been hard to get that hospital job as a new grad, but it'll happen for all of us! :)

The first interview is a one way video interview.

Good luck.

just got my email for my video interview!!

Hey guys! I also got an email for a video interview this morning. I can't believe it! I'm already nervous to see the kind of questions they have on there. Congrats @xcdesp! Good luck to everyone else!

I just finished my video interview. I wonder how long they get back to us for a yes or no. Keep me posted if any of you hear anything good or bad, I'll do the same.

I heard that it may take up to a week to hear back. I'll be working on my soon and get it in tomorrow morning.

Just wanted to update. I called HR a few minutes ago and they said they're going to be choosing around 70 candidates to move forward to the second interview. You were right bananafana, it takes about a week for them to get back to us after the video interview. And like previous threads stated, there will only be 20-30 ppl selected for the program. Happy waiting guys! haha

Thanks for the update, ativanrn!

CS, how great. I use to work there and had my daughter there. It was magnificent. Good luck!
