Cedars-Sinai New Grad Residency - March 2015

Published

Hello fellow RNs!

So the application for Cedar-Sinai's RN Residency Program opened for the March 2015 Cohort. I thought that this would be the perfect place to gather and talk about our experiences and thoughts as applications are being reviewed. Has anyone applied in the past?? What is the turnaround time from application to interviews? I know from past threads that there were three rounds of interviews.

If any RNs are in the program now or have completed the program, please feel free to post with any comments, tips, or advice about the interview process.

Good luck everyone!!

*Edit: My apologies, I'm new to allnurses.com and discovered that there are other relevant threads/forums. I'll repost this over at "California Nursing"

Got my rejection email today too. Best of luck to everyone that made it to the next round!

I feel your sadness too, ativanRN. But let's remain hopeful as each passing day is another day closer to our dream job. :)

anyone know how many made it to the next round?

like i said, HR said around 70.

:( I'm sorry guys. I wish you the best of luck on your job search!

Did you get a confirmation after you RSVP for the second phase interview or we can just assume Anthony recieved our email?

He responded to my reservation email only because I had questions for him as well. Hope that helps?

I emailed HR instead and asked if he received my RSVP. I just couldnt wait to get the 2nd round over with. What time is ur appointment on monday?

I've got a late afternoon appointment on Monday. I can't wait to get it over with too, I'm so nervous! Don't really know what to expect with how the interview will go. I wonder if they're conducting interviews all day from morning 'til afternoon.

I wonder too. I have appt at 2. What time is yours?

I interviewed last cohort. We were in a big conference room and there were multiple interviews going on at the same time while others were waiting to be called.

Mine's at 3pm. I have a few classmates that are going later, around 4 - 4:30pm. Sounds interesting that they conduct multiple interviews at the same time. Guess that's how they're so efficient!

@umad: May I ask what unit you are working on? How is the training at CS? I've always heard great things about the RN residency at CS, but nothing specific (e.g. number of weeks training on the floor/ in class, weeks with preceptor).

@bananafana: so i guess there will only be 70 of us on monday...

if you dont mind me asking, where did you graduate?
