I have applied for Fall 2008. I was wondering if anyone who has previously applied for a fall semester remember how soon they recieved their acceptance letter(April or May).

I applied too, I think it's mid to late April. The wait is driving me insane!! Did you take your TEAS test? I just took it last Saturday and I'm so glad that's over. I applied to Essex Nights/Weekend program. Well good luck and post again when you get accepted!
It is driving me insane too. I applied for Catonsville's day program. I am really nervous because I only have a 3.0 and scored a 78% on the teas and I know how extremely competitive this program is. I am trying to stay positive about it. I will definitely post whether I get in or not. Good luck to you too.
Yesterday I found out from the Selective Admissions Admin that the average score for TEAS is mid 70's to upper 80's, she said they rarely see any scores in the 90's which shocked me. She also said the average GPA on the required pre reqs has been 3.5 -4.0 but she said they do see a range from 3.0-4.0. She also said the TEAS is worth 1/3 of the scoring and your GPA is 2/3 so if you score high on your TEAS you could have a lower GPA and vise versa. This was the admin at Essex so I'm not sure if it's the same at Catonsville. I just can't wait to find out so I can plan the rest of my year out.

I also applied to CCBC for the Fall of 08. They sent something saying you will be notified in May. I applied to the new online program they are starting in the Fall. Good luck to you!
I would have loved to have applied for the online program but I don't have any direct patient experiance. Good luck, let us know if you get accepted!! Ick, May it seems so long away!
Yeah, May seems so far away. I run home every day for acceptance letters. I also applied to Howard Community Colleges evening/weekend program and Villa Julie College's Accelerate Bachelors. I should be hearing from them any day now. I really want to go to VJC but its TOO much money right now. So if I get in at CCBC thats probably where I will go. I dont have direct hands on patient care, but I work as a Medical Technologist in a Microbiology lab. So I'm hoping that might count for something. I figured it was worth a try. I went to the career workshop at CCBC yesterday and they said for this semester only if you dont meet the qualifications for the online program when you apply, you will be given an option to have your application be reviewed for the on campus program. But I can't go during the day and Im not sure if I want to go to Essex for the Evening/Weekend.
I guess I will wait and see. Does anyone know about the teachers at Howard Community College Evening/Weekend and CCBC Essex EveningWeekend program are?
I hear Catonsville has the better teachers over both of them.
I wanted to apply to Howard County too but I haven't taken Chemistry yet. If I don't get in at CCBC this fall I'm going to take Chemistry and apply to both Howard and CCBC for Spring I guess. I'm not sure about the teachers at either school but I do know one girl who started at CCBC and tranferred to Howard but she has high anxiety issues so I can't really take her word for much.
Bummer I should have tried out for the online course too. I love they have added that option because I feel like it lessens the competition a little bit for the campus enrollment if some students are admited to the online program.
Thats exactly why I applied to the online program. I figured I would apply to one evening and one online. I just dont know what the best option is with working full-time. I know VJC is the best option because there program is a part-time program in evening and weekend AND I would get a Bachelors in 3 years!!!! I would love that! But good luck with everything!
Are you at CCBC now?
Yes, I've taken all my pre reqs at CCBC Catonsville and Essex. I would love to got VJC but I'm missing all the Chemistry courses. I plan on applying there for my Bachelors though. Their Forensics program seems pretty good too.
Your job in the Micro lab sounds AWESOME! Microbiology has been my favorite science course so far.
Villa Julie is a GREAT school. I graduated from there in 2005. The teachers are awesome. I highly recommend that school. My friend is in the Forensic Science program and she really likes it. Our senior year we both interned at the State Crime lab and its definitely a good field. And the State Crime lab is who runs the program.
Micro is so much fun! I really LOVE it! But I want something thats a lot more flexible when I have kids. I love the idea of working three 12hour shifts. But I guess we will see! I just hope the money is better.
