  1. There is no information on there website. Last year I saw like a bulletin about it and emailed Barbara Netzer about it. They are still figuring things all out. You could email her, but every time I emailed her she told me to call her. So I guess it would be easier to just call her because she will probably tell you to do so anyway. But here is the information I know from what she told me: Semesters will be to Fall/Spring semesters, you will have a summer and winter break. However, because clinicals are only one day a week the semesters may be a little longer because the normal nursing student gets about 15 hours a week of clinical a week and we cant do that much in one day. The program is online with one day a week for about 7-9ish hours of clinical, followed by class (lecture and/or lab) at the Catonsville. So one day a week you will have a LONG day, (not sure how long). I have to go for an interview for the program by April 11th. Hopefully I will find out more then. Im a little worried about an online program because I feel like that means "self teaching" myself, because I have only had one online class and it was heres the assignment and due it. But Barbara Netzer said there is definitely more than just that and there will be discussions and interactions with the teachers and students in the program online. So I guess I will see. Let me know if you call and talk with her and what information she gave you, just in case I missed something or forgot to ask about something! :-D But I hope this helped a little bit.
  2. Does anyone have any information about these programs? How are the teachers? What does a normal schedule look like for the program? How many nights a week are class/lab and when are clinicals? Are clinicals every weekend? Do these programs run year round or just follow the spring/fall schedule? Any information would be great, the more information the better!!!! I thought for each these program I would be at school 2 nights and have clinicals either 2 nights or on the weekend. Just want some clarification. I work full-time and I'm trying to figure everything out! Stressed out! I've been accepted into Villa Julie Accelerated part-time Evening/Weekend Bachelors program, but unless financial aid comes through its probably one of these community colleges! And I am #8 on waitlist at Howard Community College.
  3. Villa Julie is a GREAT school. I graduated from there in 2005. The teachers are awesome. I highly recommend that school. My friend is in the Forensic Science program and she really likes it. Our senior year we both interned at the State Crime lab and its definitely a good field. And the State Crime lab is who runs the program. Micro is so much fun! I really LOVE it! But I want something thats a lot more flexible when I have kids. I love the idea of working three 12hour shifts. But I guess we will see! I just hope the money is better.

  5. Thats exactly why I applied to the online program. I figured I would apply to one evening and one online. I just dont know what the best option is with working full-time. I know VJC is the best option because there program is a part-time program in evening and weekend AND I would get a Bachelors in 3 years!!!! I would love that! But good luck with everything! Are you at CCBC now?
  6. Yeah, May seems so far away. I run home every day for acceptance letters. I also applied to Howard Community Colleges evening/weekend program and Villa Julie College's Accelerate Bachelors. I should be hearing from them any day now. I really want to go to VJC but its TOO much money right now. So if I get in at CCBC thats probably where I will go. I dont have direct hands on patient care, but I work as a Medical Technologist in a Microbiology lab. So I'm hoping that might count for something. I figured it was worth a try. I went to the career workshop at CCBC yesterday and they said for this semester only if you dont meet the qualifications for the online program when you apply, you will be given an option to have your application be reviewed for the on campus program. But I can't go during the day and Im not sure if I want to go to Essex for the Evening/Weekend. I guess I will wait and see. Does anyone know about the teachers at Howard Community College Evening/Weekend and CCBC Essex EveningWeekend program are? I hear Catonsville has the better teachers over both of them.
  7. I also applied to CCBC for the Fall of 08. They sent something saying you will be notified in May. I applied to the new online program they are starting in the Fall. Good luck to you!
