Hello Everyone,
Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.
For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).
GOOD LUCK!!!
That's what my impression is of that program as well. I look at it as it being a quick way of having new nurses at the hospital and I think there's a time frame that you must be finished by which seems a bit out there considering it's nursing, I wouldn't want to rush myself, I'd rather go at my own pace to know that I'm retaining information and learning everything rather than rushing for the sake of having a job.Where at do you work? I work in the outpatient center.
I work in Fells Point in Research Administration.
I hope this wait is over soon!!!
if we are not going to get acceptance letters until mid-may/ late-may than why is there a dosage class already posted for…

note: 52638, nurn 005 wzh is a hybrid/online section offered by ccbc catonsville. go to http://www.ccbcmd.edu, click online learning for the course requirements. section meets may 9 - may 26. testing will be held on 5/23, 5/24, 5/25 & 5/26.
Wow, that's a bit encouraging considering it begins May 9! LOL. Maybe that's for current nursing students because all nursing students take a dosage course before each semester, so I bet that's who it's for. Either way, I hope we find out soon! Spring break is going to kill all of us since the school is closed. :-(
Hurry up May!
It's so crazy how much has changed over the years, especially with the TEAS. I would think they'd only need a review as well considering they've already taken the course to learn, so a review should be sufficient before taking an exam. But let's hope we find out sooner than May 9 because that would be pretty awesome if that would allow some of us to get into the dosage course earlier than others! :-)
It just doesn't seem right considering some people may have to get funds together in order to pay for co-pays, getting health insurance, buying uniforms, etc. Thankfully I have a good majority of this already taken care of since I've already had titers and I'm already up-to-date on my shots, just re-certified my CPR, etc. But still, some people don't have anything and need to pay for an abundance of requirements. Sheesh, come on, CCBC!
Good luck to you as well! You applied to the day program, right?

that particular dosage class is specifically for students applying for the online-hybrid program at catonsville. if you are accepted into the program they will register you for dosage at orientation so you don't really have to worry about that.

I have heard the same. I know of a few girls who are now in the day program who had to apply several times before they were accepted. I have also heard that the Catonsville program is easier to get into because the majority apply to the Essex day program. Good luck to you! :-)
May needs to hurry! Once spring break ends, it shouldn't be long!
