Just wondering if anyone else on here has applied to CCAC for the spring 2011 semester?

I am SOOO happy orientation is tomorow to hopefully get some answers. Classes start tuesday and i have no idea what is going on!

So the first week of Allegheny's classes are over. Despite what I've read on this website, it appears to be an awesome program with passionate and dedicated professors. Here we go :)

Kin have you gotten your affiliate number for parking yet? Emailed the guy on Monday and I haven't gotten a response yet :(

i emailed the ladie and she said to stop at her office on the first day of classes and she will give me a pass the only thing open is by vulcan village and we would have to ride the bus down!

Yes, it's true. The instructors so far seem to be respectful, helpful and competent :)

Uniontown on Monday here. Which is wonderful since I live in uniontown. I was really surprised to see how far away all of the clinicals were. I applied for cal because I live close not because I enjoy driving. Feel bad for the people in uniontown that have to drive to mercy.

So I still can't decide what to do about buying books.. They say they're required but I don't want to waste money on books I won't use.. And I'm not sure if I should go with the ebooks or print? Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm going to go ebooks. Dolan seems pretty set on you needing them in class. But i also have an ipad and an iphone. It's way to convenient to carry my ipad instead of 15lbs of books. The clinical instructors said they will carry a med surg book and a drug book, so I should only need to bring my iphone to clinical for reference just in case. Besides it has been too many times i've spent an hour on one question because I couldn't remember where I read something. The search all of your books feature is just amazing and a huge time saver. If you have an iphone or a nook/ipad I recommended ebooks hands down. If you don't want to buy them all (i'm not) i'm going to e-mail the lady that spoke to us at orientation for a list of whats in the packages. Would you like me to send it to you when I get it?
