I got that a few days ago too! Can't wait.. hope everything stays on track! From past forums priory notification seemed to have been received between the last week in September and the first week in October! The sooner the better! What are your stats(GPA and TEAS) and Which campus is your first choice?
I have a 4.0(no bonus taking A&P 1 this fall 2 in spring and micro in summer.. probably)and 79.3 on my TEAS and picked boyce day as first choice.
My stats:
TEAS results are: 77.3%
GPA: 3.8
Campus/program of choice:
Allegheny Evening/weekend
Before application I completed my A&P1. Doing A&P2 this fall(my first class of the semester is tomorrow) and Micro next summer probably.
My other prerequisites will be complete though after fall, besides micro and my humanties elective.
But I'm super excited and eager to find out! Really hope I get in.

Same here! I can never find a boyce applicant! Lol seems like everyone is shooting for Allegheny. Hoping this month flys by. I'm just ready to get started already. I work at a Bank right now and I'm tired of talking about banking with customers.. Hoping to apply and get hired as a PCT or aide at a Hospital after I receive my letter. That way I can do that part time and have my foot in the door when graduation comes.
That's a great plan! I work as a phlebotomist right now, and before that worked in a nursing home. I'm ready to move forward in my actual career though. So I'm really eager to know!
Let's keep each other updated here. I am going to use usps informed delivery service online to see if I'm expecting any mail from ccac once it gets closer to the expected time.

I'm moving and OF COURSE informed delivery won't work for my new address.. I had it already for my old place... so please let the thread updated to when you get yours.
I definitely will! I got an email that they will be mailed out by Sept. 15th, so it could be within the next 2-3 weeks! Can't wait! Feels like so long.

I emailed this to the Nursing Coordinator already but if you know anything about the point system it would be nice for you to share what you know. Here's the original message I sent:
"I had a question regarding how points are calculated. According to the Nursing Information Packet on page 9, "additional points are awarded based on the grade earned for the successful completion of BIO 161 Anatomy and Physiology 1, BIO 162 Anatomy and Physiology 2 OR BIO 175 Microbiology." Notice the "or" in the sentence.
If I completed all the four necessary prerequisites (Biology, Chemistry, Math, English) and completed all of A&P 1, A&P 2, and Microbiology, will I receive points for ALL of these classes, or will I only receive points for the four prerequisites and ONE additional class? The "or" confused me and just wanted clarification. It would be helpful.
If you do not know what I mean, I can show the following two scenarios:
First scenario:
Biology- 0.75
Chemistry- 0
Math- 0.75
English- 0.75
A&P1- 0.75
A&P2- 0.5
Microbiology- 0.5
TOTAL POINTS: 4
Second scenario:
TOTAL POINTS: 3
Which of these two scenarios is most likely to be considered for the program?"
On another note, can't wait for September 15! May the odds ever be in our favor.

From my understanding I think you are misinterpreting the points system they're reffering to. The additional point you can get for those classes are GPA point. For each of of those three science course you can earn extra gpa points. So I you get A's in micro, and both A&P's you'll get an extra .75 for each... mean if you have a 4.0 that would take you to a 6.25 GPA. So they're just extra GPA points. I don't think I CCAC works on a overal points system.. I think they honestly just take the highest GPAs and order of submittions and filter there based on completion of courses.. I heard TEAS scores aren't really even taken in consideration, a passing score is just needed be considered.
Here is what she had to say about my email. I'm still confused but I do know now that I was wrong about how the point system works. Here's what she had to say:
"Pre-reqs are not listed in the additional point section. There are only 3 courses listed that mentions extra points.
The "or" that you are referring to indicates that points are possible if a student has completed one or more of the three courses listed. Placing an "and" in there gives the impression that a student has to complete all 3 of those courses in order to receive points, which is not true. A student can take 1 or 2 of them and still receive points
Did you review the point chart that goes with the verbiage you are reading? It maps out which courses are eligible for points, the point scale, and other important factors.
Also, please note that Points are only applied to students who meet all of the admission criteria. They cannot be used to increase a GPA. The student has to have a 2.80 GPA prior to any points being applied. This question comes up a lot so I thought I would include it in this discussion."
So far I can conclude that since I completed A&P 1-2 and Micro I know that I will get points for those and additionally I have a GPA that is much higher than a 2.80, so I think I'm on the right track. If you are right and it is ranked based on comparisons of GPA and other factors, we cannot really know our score exactly and we just have to hope we have enough to get acceptance. It's not like we can currently compare other applicants by seeing their GPA's and courses completed. It's all so scary!

Yeah I understand that.. looking at past median GPA's I'd say you're probably fine. The wait sucks, but before we know it will be 2020 and we'll be graduating and freaking out about applying ly to jobs lol. The wait is temporary. Try not to worry until/if you have something to worry about. Have you considered applying to any other programs? I keep teetering on applying to Shadysides program as a back up...
