  1. I am Allegheny Evening/Weekend program and I was told Monday and Thursday we have classes and that cannot be changed. I had previously heard clinical was a lottery system as well, but when I went they allowed me to choose between Wednesday night clinicals or Saturday daylight clinicals. I chose Saturday daylight. Good luck everyone with your scheduling and such. My bank account is hurting after paying for my titers and my uniforms but this is just the beginning I suppose
  2. Yesterday I had my Registration appointment with a professor! I now have my schedule and she answered my questions about castle branch. I also got to order my uniforms while I was there and should be getting them in two weeks.
  3. To be honest, I didn't even get an orange sheet in my packet.
  4. I received my packet on the 23rd as well!
  5. I also got accepted into Allegheny Evening!!! Can't wait! Congrats to you and everyone!
  6. I got accepted for Allegheny evenings/weekends!!! So excited for everyone else to get their letters !!
  7. Informed delivery says I'm getting something from CCAC today!!!! Will keep everyone updated.
  8. Mine did not show either.. fingers crossed for tomorrow! The waiting is the hardest part.
  9. Congrats!!! I submitted my application July 2nd and still have not received my letter. My last name starts with K. I'm thinking it's going alphabetically since I submitted it the second day the window was open. Fingers crossed for it coming today though!
  10. So everyone, I know we are expecting the letters to come late but I did want to let you know that you can sign up for informed delivery on the usps website and they will have scans of mail coming to you that day. I will be checking daily in the mornings so I kind of have a hint of what day it will be arriving! Best of luck to everyone and please share when you get the letter if you don't mind
  11. Yes, we are applying to a community college, because as you can tell by our 4.0 GPAs we are intelligent enough to know it's one of the greatest programs in the area and we don't have to break the bank and be left with unnecessary debt. Also, I have two kids and work full time. Flexibility is key and I can't go live on a campus somewhere. I think it's a no brainer that the best option was CCAC. We ARE gonna make real money. In fact CCAC nursing students are extremely desirable to the big name hospitals in Pittsburgh. It doesn't matter where you went to school as long as it was accredited and you did well. Yes, we are stressed. For some of us, we've been working on prerequisites for the past couple of years to get to this point. It's a big deal and we want to be accepted just like anyone else. Just because it's community doesn't make it any easier?? So I don't get why you'd even post this. What are you gaining? Because I'm really not bothered by your words, but you seem to be uneducated on these things and closed minded about other peoples' situations and how ccac has accommodated the opportunity to actually give us a future.
  12. I definitely will! I got an email that they will be mailed out by Sept. 15th, so it could be within the next 2-3 weeks! Can't wait! Feels like so long.
  13. That's a great plan! I work as a phlebotomist right now, and before that worked in a nursing home. I'm ready to move forward in my actual career though. So I'm really eager to know! Let's keep each other updated here. I am going to use usps informed delivery service online to see if I'm expecting any mail from ccac once it gets closer to the expected time.
  14. My stats: TEAS results are: 77.3% GPA: 3.8 Campus/program of choice: Allegheny Evening/weekend Before application I completed my A&P1. Doing A&P2 this fall(my first class of the semester is tomorrow) and Micro next summer probably. My other prerequisites will be complete though after fall, besides micro and my humanties elective. But I'm super excited and eager to find out! Really hope I get in.
