Catching up on NCLEX-RN review!

Published

So, here I go again.. :)

I stopped studying for a while (which sucks) but

Now Im getting back again.

I study by myself so I really have nobody to review with so Im (virtually) connecting through here.

My att is until October. Anybody on the same boat as me?.. This is not my first take on the exam btw.

Lets go!

I'm not in the same boat but I recently took my exam. I borrowed a book on test taking strategies by Saunders. The book outlined ways on how to study successfully, such as setting a time and a timeline, etc. To keep from feeling overwhelmed, I set a two to three hour limit for Monday through Friday. My routine was mostly questions supplemented by reading a few pages in Saunders. I did not take a review class but I hear that Kaplan is very similar to the test (even down to the screen). I used virtual ATI. I believe the courage comes from the consistency and constant exposure to the information. All in all, you know what type of learner you are. There is also an audio series available. Hope that helps. Stay encouraged and believe in yourself.

Forgot to mention that I set a date which allowed me to study for 30 days, bought a wall calendar to map out my schedule, set a minimum number of questions that I had to do per day (100 questions), didn't beat myself up if I missed a study session (ex: I would do questions at night if I missed it during the day), and I rewarded myself with something that made me happy from time to time.
