RN going to get Adult Residential Care Home business
Thank you for your reply. I have worked as a nursing assistant with my auntie's care home when I was going to nursing school. I've been helping her to take care with her patients. Bath, feed, and prepare their meals. Basically just help out with the ADLs of her patients. I'll be partnering with my uncle who hold a BA degree. My uncle will provide the house, as for the helpers, we are planning on hiring 1 or 2 CNAs to help out for the shift. Since I'm new to this, I'll be taking patient that are not as complicated it can be. In regards to preparing their food. I am very much compassionate on what I do to help out elder people. I love cooking, so preparing their foods is something I can also do for them.I don't know if should I go to Adult residential care home or nursing care home.

RN going to get Adult Residential Care Home business
Hi guys, I am very much frustrated looking for a job right now. I have tons of bills line up that needs to pay. Also, I am planning on building my own family. My last plan is to obtain a business such as the Adult Residential Care home. From there I would hire CNAs to help me if I have 5 or more patients. What do you think guys? is this the right path to go? I just graduated May 2012 and passed nclex sept 2012. I have a lot of plan besides family. I also want to have my own house and be a good provider to my family. I just want to hear feedback if I am going to the right path. I am giving myself 5yrs for nursing, I feel like I want to go to business management and start a business venture.

Question of endorsement
Hi everyone I don't know which section to go to ask about endorsement. So basically, I didn't get my license number or card yet. I believe here in my HI it takes a month to send the license after you pay the fee. But, I am wondering to endorse my license to CA or WA. Do you guys know about the compact? or if you become a member to a certain website (organization) that everytime you endorse your license to different state you just need to pay $50? I need help I don't have any idea on how to apply with different hospital in different states because I don't have my license number yet or my license card with me. I am willing to move to different states on where there are jobs opening for new grad. Coz here in HI it's so hard to find a new grad or job openings if you dont have 1yr exp or if you don't have any network inside the hospitals. Any imput is very much appreciated.

studying for nclex again
I think the most important is the quality of question that you understand after reading the rationales, rather than the quantity of questions which you ended up not really understanding the rationales and ended up getting burn out. so 100questions a day is not that bad as long as you understand them according to the topic as well. By doing that, when you encounter the same topic (ex HTN) and ask a question about that same topic again, you will pick the right answer because you understand the content about it.

Where do you Study?
I study inside my room on my bed. Yes, I agree everyone is different. Sometimes I study outside my room, I go to the living room or on the balcony. When I study every 10questions I stand up and walk around and do something. I feel like I have the worst short span on studying nclex. If I watch hurst videos and lay down on my bed close my eyes and just listen to the voice of the speaker. Then just speak up when they ask question. I tried going to SB to stuy, but >_

I passed!!!! Yes! Pvt works
Yes for content. I used the lipincotte ipad app. I use it if my brain is fried answering kaplan questions or if I don't feel like doing kaplan and just do like 10-50 questions before I go to bed.

I passed!!!! Yes! Pvt works
HI everyone I took my test last Sep 8 @ 8am for the second time. First time I took the nlcex I failed with 75Qs and feel like the world drop on my head. I was sad and in denial that I can't believe I failed for the first time. My confidence drop big time and always in doubt about my ability. However, after coming to this website it helped me build my confidence back and really push myself to be back on track. After doing the pvt trick and knew that I failed first time, on the spot after checking it and brought me to the cc page. I paid $200 and said to myself "ok, I need to get the ATT and pick another date." I made sure I resched my 2nd attempt after 45days because I am so want to get over this test. I feel like I failed for the first time because I didn't really pay attention reading the rationales. I was doing questions, however careless enough to really understand the rationales. I learned my mistake in a very hard way. enough said, What I did differently I bought PDA by La Charity. I used my Kaplan again for the second time (I used kaplan for the first time as well) I stick with my main tool w/c kaplan. I used lipincotte and saunders ipad app. I do kaplan qbanks everyday 50-200questions, I make sure I read and understand the rationales. After I use PDA and reading all the rationales from my nclex practice exam my kaplan score went high, before I'm getting 50-60s on my qbanks. When I did my qbanks I got 70-88% for every 50questions. My qtrainers 66-77%, Diag: 71%, readiness: 74.44%. Also if I don't understand or miss a content on a nclex practice test, I google it and read through it. I also borrow someone hurst account from a member here. I really thank that person for being generous to me. I watched hurst video and I really love it! I remember everything that I've learned from all the system. BOTTOM LINE: PLEASE read the rationales even you got it right or wrong, coz it will make a huge difference. PLEASE get PDA by La charity if you are having a hard time with Priority, Delegation, and Assignment question. Saunders: I didn't read the book, but I used the q and a for my content. I learned content through q and a as I go through with all the rationales or encounter a question from Saunder that I don't know (I google it) PRAY PRAY PRAY!! I prayed so hard to GOD before and after I study. When I took my test, if I don't understand I closed my eyes and pray to GOD! To close this :) please feel free to msg me if you have questions or need study buddy. So willing to help you guys to pass nclex =^_^= GOD BLESS EVERYONE!! I KNOW YOU GUYS CAN DO IT!

What Should I Do Differently.....HELP
Hi Danielle318 do you only have hurst as your main resources or are you using kaplan as well? I love hurst. I watched the hurst videos for the second time and really love it. It refresh all my memories from what I've learned through my nursing days. My first resources is Kaplan when I took my nclex first exam and failed. That is because when I did the kaplan qtrainers and banks, I didn't go back and study the rationales. I just pass by and just look through the wrong questions I got. Basically I am being careless for the first time. I also misunderstood about priority questions >_

Saunders
Never used Saunder only. But i used saunders q an a for my content. If I'm tired doing kaplan, I do suander q and a since based on my experience the q and a from saunders is way easier than kaplan. However, along the way on doing q and a from sauders I learned a lot of content. I didn't read the book, just read the rationales or google the topic about it if I got the question wrong.
