What was your first LPN job?l
I will be a LPN a year this Sept. My school made it mandatory for us to get the green light from ATI. I graduated in July didn't get to sit for my boards till the 1st of Sept got my license number a week later. My 1st job was in home care with a peds patient and the pay was $22. Good luck with your NCLEX, go in there confident and pray and you will do great. Have faith in your ability as a nurse and you will do fine.

I have worked a few cases through the staffing agency since I have graduated. I started taking classes for my RN but stopped cause I needed a job 1st and foremost. The curriculum is what you make of it and put into it. It is fast paced but when you finish you can pass your nclex and get a job but it is based on your thirst and desire. They give you the tools it is truly how you use them. I will say a lot people from my graduating class has been successful and others haven't not because of the school but because of themselves. I hope this was helpful.

Today I sat for my state boards and it was the hardest test I have ever took in my whole nursing experience. I am very confident when it comes to my test taking and my knowledge, but today I am not going to lie I felt inadequate at some point during this test. Part of it was because the machine did not shut down at 85 questions and other parts I just felt overwhelmed I guess. I did a 190 questions. The computer shut off and I felt like the interrogation was over. I was mentally and emotionally drained. I came home and got on my laptop, of coorifice the first thing I do is the Pearson Vue trick and when the error message popped up. I breathed a sigh of relief cause all my highs and lows of nursing school, ATI, and Kaplan paid off in the end. I just needed to tell this story thanks for reading. If I can give any advice is when it keeps going pass 85 and that pit of despair starts to raise push it back down, stay focus, say a prayer, and continue to do your best.

Using ATI to prep for NCLEX-PN
Thank you Chaisaci, I also got 93% with the ATI assessment. My game plan at this point since I have to do it is focus and finish ATI, then once I get the green light focus on Kaplan. We did have a two class with Kaplan as well which was beneficial the main thing I remember is if I can only do one thing and leave what would it be. Not gonna lie I was not focused during the decision tree but I am going to make an appt to sit with the teacher that does the Kaplan and go over what I didn't pay attention to before. Thanks for your advice, and congrats on your licensure.
